Locating Three Mossberries in Hollow Knight: Silksong Guide

When you start exploring Pharloom in Hollow Knight Silksong, one of your first side quests will involve collecting Mossberries for the Druid’s Berry Picking Wish. These vibrant green berries are fairly easy to spot in the Moss Grotto area, but some can be overlooked if you’re not paying close attention. One specific Mossberry requires understanding pogo jumps to reach it.

Bringing back three Mossberries to the Druid rewards you with an amulet that’s helpful early on when you’re still getting used to the game mechanics. It’s a smart move to complete this Wish as soon as possible! Here are the locations of all three Mossberries in the Moss Grotto to help you out.

All three Mossberries you need are in the Moss Grotto — two of them are near the beginning of the game. Here’s where you should look:

Mossberry 1
Early in the game, you’ll reach an area with a spine-shaped jetty on the far left. From there:

1. Use the floating platforms to jump upward and to the right onto larger ledges.
2. Keep heading right until you see a big floating rock formation resembling stairs; climb up until you spot smaller platforms.
3. Cross these tiny platforms to find a ledge with a glowing Mossberry hanging. Attack it to cut it down and gather it.

Mossberry 2
The second berry isn’t far from the first and remains in the lower section of the Grotto:

1. From the first Mossberry spot, drop down and continue right through the Grotto.
2. Climb the large floating platforms leading upward; near the top, you’ll see a Mossberry hanging from a branch.
3. To reach it, you’ll need to perform a “pogo jump”—a tricky move where you leap high, hit a flying caterpillar bug with a downward attack to bounce yourself higher, then attack upward quickly to cut the berry. Reactions need to be sharp for this to work.
4. Collect the berry, then move left toward the Ruined Chapel, which leads to Bone Bottom.

Mossberry 3
The last Mossberry is close to the Druid, in a small cave beneath their hideout, accessible through the Marrow region:

1. Exit the Druid’s hideout and drop into the hole in the floor right in front.
2. In the next room, drop down to the ground, then move right through a hidden opening into a dark cave.
3. Inside, a tiny flying bug holds the Mossberry in its mandibles—kill it to claim the berry.

Once you have all three, return to the Druid. After talking to them, they’ll give you a Druid’s Eye amulet. When equipped, this item grants you the ability to generate silk both when you’re hit and when you deal damage, which is very useful if you’re still learning enemy attacks and looking to heal or boost damage.

If you find yourself taking a lot of hits as you learn enemy patterns, this amulet is a handy bonus for health regeneration and using Silk Skills quickly. During your journey, you’ll also encounter Shakra, who sells Hollow Knight Silksong maps, making exploration easier.
