Locating the Curtis Safe Key in Dead Island 2

If you’re on the hunt for Curtis’ Safe key in Dead Island 2, you probably heard Curtis Sinclair’s call for help through his intercom. This kicks off an early side quest near Emma Jaunt’s mansion as you start exploring Dead Island 2. After clearing out some unwanted guests from this vintage screen hero’s abode, Curtis will relocate to stay with EJ across the street. During this mission, you’ll encounter several keys, but as you explore the mansion, you’ll come across Curtis’ Valuables Safe, which you’ll need to open later. Here’s how to get your hands on Curtis’ Safe key in Dead Island 2.

Where to Find Curtis’ Safe Key in Dead Island 2

You’ll find Curtis’ Valuables Safe inside his wine storage room, close to the rear entrance, near the staff restrooms, and opposite the utility room doors by the garage. To locate the Safe key, venture out to the back area and look for a large monogrammed crest on the ground. This spot will be marked as a Screamer Hot Spot on your map. If it’s not visible yet, you may need to progress further in the story before you can access it.

Once you’ve progressed far enough in the story, check around the rear area, including the guest restrooms in the separate outer building. You’ll notice a few Screamer enemies appearing—focus on one named Crystal the Lawyer. You’ll need to defeat her to obtain the key. You can block Screamer attacks to get closer and strike back, and throwing a curveball can interrupt their shrieks. Do what you can to get in there and deal some damage.

After you defeat Crystal the Lawyer, pick up the Curtis’ Safe key she drops and return to the mansion to unlock the Valuables Safe. You’ll find some cash waiting for you, along with a Tactical Heavy Revolver, which is a valuable addition to your arsenal.
