In Arc Raiders, Sentinels are a rare type of enemy. These are sniper turrets positioned on certain buildings, and they target players from a distance before causing a lot of damage. While they don’t spawn often, defeating Sentinels rewards you with Sentinel Firing Cores, which are essential for upgrading the Gunsmith table. I’ll tell you where to find them on different maps and an alternative way to get the Firing Cores.
Sentinels appear randomly in the game and tend to spawn outside, usually in high spots with clear lines of sight where they can shoot at players from afar. They tend to appear more frequently during Night Raids. You might find them in these locations:
– Dam Battlegrounds: The Breach
– Buried City: Town Hall
– Spaceport: Departure Building
– The Blue Gate: Pilgrim’s Peak
You’ll know a Sentinel is nearby because you’ll see a laser sight sweeping across the area. If it spots you, the laser will lock onto you, giving you a brief moment to hide behind cover. To take one down, use cover to get close enough to shoot it. They aren’t as tough as other rare enemies, so if you get close, they won’t require much effort to defeat.
Getting Sentinel Firing Cores mainly involves defeating Sentinels, as each one usually drops a core. Sometimes, you can also find them from Arc Couriers—flying, saucer-shaped objects that you can open by breaching. These Couriers are often marked by smoke plumes, and there are usually more of them during electromagnetic storms. It’s worth opening every Courier you come across because they sometimes carry Firing Cores.
