You should prioritize finding the Rotor and Tube blueprints in StarRupture right away because they are essential for many crafting recipes that help you expand your operations. While some items can be made from the start with enough materials, others require special blueprints before you can begin crafting them.
The Rotor and Tube are two such components—they need you to do some preliminary work before you can produce them. The game doesn’t give clear instructions on where to find these blueprints, and at first glance, the planet’s surface appears quite empty. To help you out, here’s where you can find the Rotor and Tube blueprints in StarRupture.
The blueprints are located at an abandoned base to the west of your starting area. Look for the broken remains of a metal dish sticking out over the rugged cliffs in the distance—that’s your destination.
This area is pretty dangerous because it’s full of Vermin enemies, so come prepared with weapons and ammo. Your starting pistol will work, but some of the tougher Vermin still need several shots to take down. As soon as you climb over the cliffs into the base, the vermin will swarm you, and they keep coming as long as you’re there. Keep moving to stay safe.
Inside a two-story building at the back of the base, you’ll find the blueprints for the Rotor and Tube. This structure is one of the few that’s still standing, making it hard to miss. Since the main entrance is blocked, you’ll need to go around back, climb onto the nearby cliffs, and find a hole in the wall to get inside. Once inside, you’ll be relatively safe from the Vermin as they can’t reach you in there. Be sure to search thoroughly inside the building—you’ll find a small chest on the ground floor containing the blueprints.
After collecting both blueprints, exit the base and head back to your main hub. Bring the blueprints to your Recipe Station and, along with the other required resources, unlock the ability to craft Rotors and Tubes at your Fabricators.
Keep in mind, these blueprints are part of later quests that will push you beyond your safe base. Eventually, you’ll need to leave your protected area to find them, but there’s no rush. It’s best to wait until you have better weapons and have gained experience taking on Vermin before making the trip.
