The longest break between Lego video games from TT Games ends in 2026 with the release of Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. After four years since the launch of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Batman is set to get a new Lego adventure. This game won’t follow the movie storylines in Lego form like The Skywalker Saga did, but it will feature characters and scenes from every Batman movie, as well as some of the Batman video games, including the famous Arkham trilogy.
The new Lego Batman game was officially announced at Gamescom, following rumors that TT Games was preparing to reveal its next major project. The game is scheduled to come out on May 29, 2026. Pre-orders are now available, and here’s what you need to know to reserve your copy.
There are two versions of Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight to choose from: the standard edition priced at $69.99, and the deluxe edition for $89.99, which costs $20 more. Details about what’s included in each version are listed below.

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on May 29, 2026. If you pre-order the deluxe edition, you’ll be able to play three days early. The game will also come to Nintendo Switch 2, but a release date for that platform hasn’t been announced yet. You can pre-order it for Switch 2 through the official links, even without a specific launch date.

Among the playable characters will be Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Jim Gordon, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul. Major villains included are The Joker, Mr. Freeze, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, and a Bane voiced by Matt Berry. The story will be a mix of new and familiar tales, drawing from Batman movies and video games to create a semi-original narrative that combines elements from past stories.
Details about the game’s content and characters point to a rich experience that gathers the lore of Batman into one Lego adventure, with plenty of new and returning faces to explore.
