Kuttenberg is a large area in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and you can roam freely after completing the “Speak of the Devil” main quest. Speak with Chenyek at the Hole in the Wall Tavern to initiate an engaging side quest called “Feast for the Poor.”
Once you start, your primary goal will be to disrupt the supply of high-quality sausages from Sigismund and provide for the needy. However, this quest is one of the toughest in the game, so we’ll guide you on how to finish it with ease.
How to Begin the Feast for the Poor
If you have already finished “Into The Underworld,” you’re likely familiar with Chenyek, who can be found east of Kuttenberg City at the Hole in the Wall Tavern. You can initiate “Into The Underworld” as one of its objectives is to speak with him for information.
Once you get the information, you can set off on the “Feast for the Poor” quest. Choose the dialogue options “Repentance,” “The commoners,” and “Wenceslas” to boost your reputation with him. Afterward, he will explain the plan in detail.
How to Interfere with Sigismund’s Sausage Supply
Before heading to the coordinates on your map, speak with Knuckles, who will call you closer. He’ll ask you to steal wine from the warehouse while doing the task for Chenyek, and it’s advisable to agree to this. He will provide you with three lockpicks, a Quickfinger potion, and a Weak Nighthawk.
Make sure to wear quiet clothes when you go to the location. Chenyek instructed you to swap the sausages with cabbage, which you can buy from the nearest grocer to the south. Just one cabbage will do.
If you have Mutt accompanying you, consider sending him home or leaving him outside, as he may ruin your stealth, causing guards to attack you.
Wait until night and avoid the main entrance where a guard is stationed. Instead, use the window on the right side to get inside quietly, then drop down.
Before going back outside, you can find five lockpicks in the sack to your right. Exit through the door and walk straight while sticking close to the wall on your right. A building will come into view, and to the left, you’ll find a chest containing the wine requested by Knuckles. However, be warned that it’s challenging to pick the lock, so grabbing the key is recommended.
If your thievery skills aren’t great, you can knock out the guard to steal the keys.
Go into the building in front of you, where you will see a guard relaxing on a bench. Steal the keys from the guard and then open the chest to retrieve Sigismund’s wine. Afterwards, return to the same warehouse, and you will find the green tent in front where the sausages are stored.
Be careful not to kill any guard in the warehouse, as this will result in failing the quest.
Head to the right and wait for the guard in front to move away. After he leaves, hide behind the cart until he returns to his previous spot. Then, enter the green tent and use the stolen keys to unlock the chest. Replace the sausages with cabbage, as Chenyek intended for this to be a prank. Keep in mind, this task is optional.
To the left of the chest, there’s a sack with 100 Groschen, and on the right, you can swipe a few chalices that can fetch a decent price if sold.
How to Feed the Poor
Having acquired the sausages, it’s time to distribute them to the needy. You may have spotted several beggars around Kuttenberg City. If you’re unsure of their locations, refer to our guide below. Make sure to look for them during the day, as you can’t give more than five sausages to each. Here’s where to find them:
- First beggar: Southeast of the E quest marker.
- Second beggar: North of the E quest marker, usually finds two beggars together.
- Third beggar: Further north of the second beggar.
- Fourth beggar: Located in the side lane of the second and third beggars, above the last grocer.
- Fifth beggar: Outside the Hole in the Wall Tavern.
There’s no need to visit the fifth beggar, as the second one has two nearby. Additionally, beggars can often be found near every fast travel point.
After giving sausages to all the beggars, return to Chenyek. Before conversing with him, make sure you hand the wine to Knuckles, who will be just outside the tavern. You have the option to give it away freely, request a reward, or keep it for yourself.
If you ask for compensation, you’ll receive 100 Groschen. Finally, talk to Chenyek, and the quest will conclude.
