Escape From Duckov is quickly gaining popularity among indie game fans, especially those who enjoy the action-packed shooting game Escape From Tarkov. This new game offers fun gameplay, lots of quests to progress through, and a quirky style with many items and collectibles for players to find.
In Escape From Duckov, looting is mostly based on luck. Players will need some good fortune to gather certain items for quests and challenges. One key area is the J-Lab, which is filled with valuable endgame gear. To access it, players must find special J-Lab Cards, which act as security passes to unlock different levels of the lab.
How J-Lab Cards Work in Escape From Duckov
J-Lab Cards serve as security clearance passes. Using these cards, players can enter underground research areas in the J-Lab zone. Different levels of these cards unlock access to better loot:
- J-Lab 1 Cards: Easy to find, they mostly let you explore the basic lab zones. You can get these cards by completing the Copy Pass quest or buying them from vendors afterward.
- J-Lab 2 Cards: Slightly harder to find, these cards grant access to intermediate labs and lower levels within the complex.
- Color-Coded Cards (Green, Purple, Red, Blue, Black): These are rare and open doors to the most advanced, loot-rich areas. They are harder to acquire and often require farming, as they mainly drop from specific enemies or can be purchased.
Note: You don’t need these higher-level, color-coded cards to progress through the main game or complete core quests. They are mainly for those who want to access the top-tier loot and secret areas.
How to Get All J-Lab Cards
J-Lab Cards drop randomly in specific locations:
- The J-Lab 1 Card is easy to find in the Hidden Mine area. Once you finish the Copy Pass quest, you can buy this card from a vendor named Xiaoming.
- The J-Lab 2 Card can often be obtained from Wanderer enemies inside the J-Lab B1 levels.
The table below outlines where to find each card:
| Card | Location |
|---|---|
| J-Lab 1 | Hidden Mine; buy from vendor after completing the Copy Pass quest |
| J-Lab 2 | Wanderer enemies inside J-Lab B1 levels |
| Green | Mysterious House X and O in Farm Town |
| Purple | Mysterious House X and O in Farm Town |
| Red | Executive Wing runs, advanced chamber raids, vaults in B2 labs |
| Blue | Location currently unknown |
| Black | Farmed from a super market vendor or bought for 200k |
The color-coded cards (Green, Purple, Red, Blue) are much harder to find and don’t drop reliably. However, some locations, like the Mysterious House X and O in Farm Town, are known to have a higher chance of dropping these cards. To access these houses, you will need to find the X and O keys, which have 10 uses each. It’s best to give these keys to your companion so you don’t lose them and can use all their uses.
Red and Blue cards are often obtained during special runs in the Executive Wing, advanced chamber raids, or by finding vaults in B2 labs. The Black card can be bought from a vendor at the supermarket, but it might take some time to farm the vendor until the card appears in their inventory.
Getting all these J-Lab Cards is important for unlocking the best loot and gear in Escape From Duckov. However, collecting them will likely require a lot of farming and exploration since the drop rates are based on RNG.
