Players are eagerly waiting for information on a ranked mode or playlist for Splitgate 2, and it’s easy to see why. Competitive FPS games thrive on ranked modes, allowing gamers to face off against top contenders and showcase their skills. However, this feature is often not included at launch and tends to arrive in later updates. Many are curious if Splitgate 2 has introduced a ranked mode yet, so here’s the latest information.
Understanding Ranked Mode in Splitgate 2
At the moment, Splitgate 2 does not offer a ranked mode. This is a letdown since the first game had a very popular ranked playlist, but there’s still some good news.
During a Q&A session with the developers, they indicated that a ranked mode would be available within a month of the game’s launch. This is also echoed in the official Splitgate 2 FAQ, stating that ranked mode will be "coming in the near future."
On the Splitgate subreddit, the community manager, /u/Brodrian, assured players that they "won’t have to wait until October" for the ranked mode, and that it would be arriving in the coming weeks. Given this update was made on May 22, it’s reasonable to expect the ranked mode is on the horizon. The official Splitgate Twitter account has also mentioned that an announcement about the ranked mode will be coming soon.
Regarding the structure of the ranked mode, developers confirmed that it will follow the traditional 4v4 arena format. Other game modes, like the 24-player onslaught, gun game, and battle royale, will be set aside for casual playlists. So, if you’re aiming to excel in ranked matches, be sure to team up with three skilled friends to compete against other squads effectively.
