Is Hollow Knight: Silksong coming to Game Pass? That’s a question many are asking now that the game’s release date is close, and there’s some good news for Xbox and PC players eager to try Team Cherry’s highly anticipated sequel. The answer is yes—it will be available on Game Pass. This information has been known for a while, since it was confirmed over three years ago during the Hollow Knight: Silksong trailer at E3 2022. If that’s a distant memory, don’t worry—we’re here to remind you.
This is great news for fans, as it means they can start exploring Hornet’s new journey in the Kingdom of Pharloom right from day one without needing to buy the game separately. Here’s what you should know about Hollow Knight: Silksong on Game Pass for Xbox and PC.
Will Hollow Knight: Silksong be included with Game Pass?
Absolutely. Hollow Knight: Silksong will be available on Game Pass on launch day. If you have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, you can play it immediately on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, or PC. PC Game Pass subscribers will also get access, but only on their PC. However, it’s not part of the standard or core Game Pass plans for Xbox, so those customers will need the Ultimate or PC subscription to play at launch. There’s a chance it might join the basic plans someday, but for now, only the premium subscriptions grant access at launch.
Interestingly, the previous game, Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition, was included in both Xbox and PC Game Pass and was also part of PlayStation Plus Extra’s library. But that was added some years after the original release. It’s exciting that Silksong will be available on day one, keeping up with the trend of adding major titles upfront.
