Many players were hoping for a double jump in Silksong, just like in the first Hollow Knight. In that game, the Monarch Wings let you perform a second jump in mid-air. But so far, in Silksong, no such wings or double jump ability have been discovered, even after playing quite a bit into the game.
How to Jump Further in Silksong
Currently, there’s no confirmed double jump ability in the game. However, you can still find ways to extend your jump distance to reach higher ledges, collect items, or overcome obstacles. Here are some options that are somewhat similar:
-
Swift Step Technique: This move is the closest thing to a double jump. It allows you to dash while in the air, giving you extra reach and better control. It also enables a long initial jump by sprinting start. You can unlock this ability shortly after defeating the Bell Beast in the Deep Docks, which is reached by traveling through a gauntlet of red ant enemies and then re-entering the Docks from a tunnel on the west side.

Pogo Jump: From the start, you can bounce off enemies’ heads by attacking downward midair. This technique isn’t something you unlock; it’s available from the beginning. It helps you gain extra distance by bouncing from enemies.
As you progress, you’ll find other abilities that improve your jumping skills and help you explore the map more easily. These include the Cling Grip, which allows you to wall jump, and the Drifter’s Cloak, a gliding tool. However, it seems like the Monarch Wings or an equivalent double jump have not made it into Silksong yet, though we’ll update this page if that changes.
