Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 4 has a new limited-time mode called Delulu. This mode is special because it features proximity voice chat, allowing players to hear and talk to others nearby for the first time in Fortnite history. The mode will only be available for two weekends, so players need to join quickly if they want a chance to win the exclusive Victory Royale umbrella.
This mode is unique and might take some practice to master. Here’s everything you need to know about playing Fortnite Delulu, including tips to win and unlock the Crashbrella.
How to Play Fortnite Delulu
Fortnite Delulu is only available on weekends. You can play from 9 AM ET on September 19 to 9 AM ET on September 22, and then again from 9 AM ET on September 26 to 9 AM ET on September 29, 2025. To join, open Fortnite and scroll down to the Battle Royales By Epic section to find Delulu.
Note: Since the mode relies heavily on proximity chat, make sure your Voice Chat settings are set to “Everybody” before starting.
When you start a game, there’s no Battle Bus. Instead, you and other players will drop directly onto the island. You won’t be able to choose where to land, so it’s best to drop quickly and find loot wherever you land.
The lobby is your first chance to see who might be friendly or open to teaming up. Once in the game, loot chests and ammo boxes until you see other players. If they aren’t in full squads, approach them and use an emote to ask to join their squad.
Squad Up: Working together is key. You and your teammates can open special O.X.R. chests and Supply Drops for high-rarity loot, but only when you’re in a squad. Solo players won’t be able to open these early on, so teaming up is the smarter move.
Looting: Within your squad, try to gather the best gear by opening loot chests, supply drops, and high-tier blue chests that contain epic or legendary items.
As the game progresses and you gather a squad, you can hunt down other players, take out squads, and aim for the top 10. When there are fewer players left, you face a choice: stay quiet and work as a team to eliminate the last few squads, or split up and try to win solo.
Most players stay with their squad until the final moments because the storm circle shrinks quickly and moves fast. When only a few players remain, it becomes a free-for-all, and only one can claim the Victory Royale and win the Crashbrella.
How to Win the Fortnite Delulu Crashbrella
Winning in Delulu involves a mix of luck and skill. If you’re fortunate, you might land with a strong squad that can clear out enemies together. If you have good fighting skills, you can eliminate the remaining squads and secure the win for yourself.
Playing smart is essential. If your squad seems weak or unreliable, you can leave and find a new team. Always communicate respectfully using voice chat, and report anyone abusive.
Solo Play: Going solo is tough because you’ll face squads with more players. However, you can use stealth items like Bush Bombs or search for rare blue chests that hold epic and legendary loot. Still, joining a squad usually offers better chances, especially since squads can access superior loot like:
- O.X.R. Chests: Require two players to open and provide enough gear for two people.
- Supply Drops: Need three players to open and include enough resources for the whole squad.
To increase your survival chances, carry traversal items such as golf carts, vehicles, balloons, grapplers, shockwave grenades, Rift Launchers, Rift-to-Gos, launch pads, or crash pads for quick escapes.
Once the game reaches the final five players, it’s all or nothing. Some players may betray their teammates to get the Victory Royale, making the endgame a tense showdown. Do you have what it takes to go full delulu and win?
