If you’ve completed the story without extra battles, you probably have fewer than 200 wins. So, the task of reaching 1,000 can feel daunting. But with some preparation and the right strategy, you can speed up the process significantly.

Which Pokémon Should You Use to Win 1,000 Battles?

The best choice is Dragonite. It combines strong base stats with access to the key move: Extreme Speed. This move’s speed makes it perfect for quickly defeating opponents in a battle marathon.

How to Prepare Your Dragonite

Catch an Adamant or Jolly nature Dragonite, or give it a corresponding Mint to boost Attack or Speed.
Train your Dragonite up to levels 90–100, ideally using EXP candies to speed up the process.
Hyper train its Attack and Speed IVs at the Justice Dojo by bringing Bottle Caps.
