How To Use Your Shark Fin in Path Of Exile 2: Completing and Solving

You obtain a Shark Fin from defeating the Great White One boss during a boss fight on Whakapanu Island in Path of Exile 2, Act 4. This item is large and takes up a lot of space in your inventory, so it’s best to dispose of it quickly.

After collecting the Shark Fin, you’ll receive a new quest called Tribal Medicine. This quest can only be completed on Ngakanu Island, which you can locate on your ship’s map. The island is south of Kingsmarch, but each player’s map may be different.

## How To Use Your Shark Fin In Path Of Exile 2

Once you have the Shark Fin, head back to Kingsmarch by using a Portal. From there, go to your ship, talk to Mikoru, and choose the “Set Sail” option. Sail to Ngakanu on the map. When you reach the island, disembark, walk up the beach, and talk to the elder woman, Kaimana. She needs the Shark Fin to make a special medicine.

Kaimana will tell you she needs the fin for her medicine. When you turn it in, you’ll receive a reward—either a Skill Gem, a Spirit Gem, or a Support Gem. You can only choose one of these rewards.

### Can’t See Your Ship Or Make It To Ngakanu?

This might happen if you’ve progressed too far in the story. That’s why it’s recommended to turn in the Shark Fin as early as possible. You may need to complete all of Act 4 before you can hand in the fin and access the quest NPC needed for the next step.

Alternatively, you can try turning in the Shark Fin at Kingsmarch with the Karui Chieftain, who can also accept it. The best course of action depends on how far you’ve advanced in the story, as the options for completing this quest can vary.
