Reanimal is a game that’s much more enjoyable when played with friends. Designed for multiplayer, you can explore dark hallways and creepy locations alongside someone else. Having a partner by your side helps with solving puzzles and making it through the story more comfortably.
Since it’s made for multiplayer play, joining a game with a friend is the best way to experience Reanimal. Playing together not only makes it more fun but can also ease any nerves when navigating the dark environments. If you want to jump right into the game with a partner, here are the steps to get started with Reanimal.
### How to Play Co-Op
When you start Reanimal, you have a few options for playing with others. You can choose Local Co-op, host your own online game, or join a game someone else is hosting.
#### Local Co-op
This option is for playing with someone in the same room, using the same TV and the same gaming system. Just select Local, and your second player will be prompted to connect their controller. Once they do, you’re ready to start playing together.
#### How to Host or Join an Online Room
To play online, you can either host a game or join one. If you decide to host:
– Launch the game, and before starting, you’ll see a lobby code.
– Share this code with your friend.
– Your friend selects the “Join Online” option and enters the lobby code to connect.
Alternatively, you can send an invite directly from your friends list if your system supports it; the option will be available on the same screen where you see the lobby code.
### How to Use the Friend’s Pass
If only one person owns a copy of Reanimal, you can still play together through the Friend’s Pass. The owner needs to launch the game and host an online lobby. The person without the game then chooses to join and inputs the lobby code. This way, both of you can play the entire game cooperatively.
For PlayStation users, you can download the Reanimal Trial, which functions as the Friend’s Pass, but note that it only works as a multiplayer link—you can’t play solo with it. The owner must host the lobby, and the other player joins using the code.
