Plus Moves are special moves that Pokémon master and can deal extra damage when used with the Mega Ring. These moves are especially helpful when facing tough opponents like Rogue Mega Pokémon or Alpha Pokémon, so make sure to use them whenever you can.

Plus Moves unlock after you finish Main Mission 9, called “Chase That Mysterious Pokémon!” when AZ gives you the Mega Ring. After that, your Pokémon will naturally learn Plus Moves as they level up.

When your Pokémon knows a Plus Move, you’ll see a Plus icon next to it. During battles, if your Pokémon isn’t Mega Evolved, you need to press the “+” button before choosing a move to activate the Plus Move’s effect. Keep in mind, you need at least one bar of Mega Ring energy to use this feature. If your Pokémon is Mega Evolved, all of its moves will automatically be Plus Moves.

To teach your Pokémon new Plus Moves, you need to reach Main Mission 19, called “Reaching Rank D.” After defeating Josée in this mission at the Justice Dojo located just north of Saison Canalside, you’ll be able to use Seeds of Mastery to assign new Plus Moves to your Pokémon.

You can obtain Seeds of Mastery by defeating Alpha Pokémon scattered around Lumiose City. These Alpha Pokémon have specific spawn locations, and you can fight them multiple times. This makes farming Seeds of Mastery relatively easy if you have a strong team.
