There’s a lot to do in Fields of Mistria — from your daily farm work to helping the town recover and grow after an earthquake. With some careful planning, you can handle it all. When it’s time to upgrade Ryis and Landen’s carpenter’s shop, you’ll find that you already understand how the process works.
Upgrading the carpenter’s shop not only makes Ryis and Landen more skilled but also unlocks new blueprints, like the greenhouse. Growing crops is essential for your income, and the greenhouse will help you plan your long-term farm layout.
How to Upgrade the Carpenter
First, you need to reach town rank 75. Keep an eye on your mail for a letter from Adeline, then meet her at the carpenter’s workshop on the Eastern Road.
Ryis will mention that the idea to upgrade the shop came during the Saturday Market stalls, and he asks for your help along with Adeline. Fortunately, this time, the town’s funds will cover the tesserae costs.
To upgrade, gather these materials:
Item | Quantity | How to Get It |
---|---|---|
100 | Use 10 stones in the Mine’s stone refinery to make refined stone. | |
![]() |
100 | Win against Enchanters in the mines, usually found between floors 5 and 15. |
![]() |
30 | Find in the deep sections of the mines—hit crystals with your sword. |
![]() |
30 | Found in the Lava Caves by hitting black crystals with your sword. |
Once you have gathered all the materials, drop them off in the chest outside the carpenter’s shop. Talk to Adeline to start construction and trigger a cutscene. Once the process is complete, new blueprints will be available at the carpenter’s.
Tip: You can purchase raw materials from Ryis and Landen now that they have more stock.
How to Build a Greenhouse
As a reward for your efforts upgrading the carpenter’s shop, you’ll receive a free blueprint for a small greenhouse. You can place it on your property and start building it with these materials:
Blueprint | Cost | Interior Space | Materials Needed |
---|---|---|---|
Small Greenhouse Available in White and Wood |
$50,000 Tesserae | 5×5 plot (25 crops, 24 with a sprinkler in the center) |
Hard Wood (20), Glass (20), Refined Stone (20) |
You can also build a larger version with:
Blueprint | Cost | Interior Space | Materials Needed |
---|---|---|---|
Large Greenhouse Available in White and Wood |
$100,000 Tesserae | 10×10 plot (100 crops, 96 with sprinklers) |
Hard Wood (40), Glass (40), Refined Stone (40) |
Best Greenhouse Layouts
The small greenhouse can hold 24 crops with a sprinkler in the center. It’s worth upgrading to the larger one as soon as possible. Inside your greenhouse, crops will grow regardless of season.
Focus on crops that produce multiple harvests, like strawberries or snow peas, which will keep growing endlessly inside the greenhouse.
The larger greenhouse allows for up to 100 crops, with most watered automatically by sprinklers in each 5×5 grid. You can decorate the interior to match your style, and placing signs can help organize what’s grown where.
If you need to move your greenhouse later, interact with the outside sign to remove it. You’ll get your materials back, but any crops inside will be lost. Harvested crops or decorations inside can be recovered.
