How to Unlock Mega Meowstic in Pokémon Legends Z-A

If you’re a fan of Mega Evolutions in the Pokémon series, you should check out Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension. It builds on the original game and adds many Mega Pokémon to the mix.

One of these Mega Pokémon is Meowstic, which offers some of the most exciting battles in Legends: Z-A. But don’t worry—you won’t have to face it alone.

Where to Find Mega Meowsticite

It’s part of the DLC campaign. You’ll encounter Meowstic during the Hyperspace Lumiose Survey No. 4 mission. You automatically unlock it when you progress through the Mega Dimension storyline and gather enough research points to challenge it. Just head to the mission goal, go into the Mega Arena, and get ready to battle Meowstic—along with some help from your friends at Team MZ.

Mega Meowstic is a level 150 Pokémon in Hyperspace, so it’s best to come prepared with strong items like high-quality donuts to boost your level. It’s weak to bug, ghost, and dark types, but resistant to fighting and psychic types.

One important thing to watch out for during the battle is Mega Meowstic’s wall attack. It will set up a huge wall and charge a powerful attack that could take out your Pokémon—or even your character. To stop this, position yourself near the side with the different-colored panes and target the lock-on point to break the glass.

Tip: Make sure to step back a bit before attacking the weak point on the wall, as you won’t be able to lock onto it if you’re too close.

Getting Meowstic in Legends: Z-A

You can get a free Meowstic by completing the Hyperspace Lumiose Survey No. 4 mission. After the battle, you’ll be able to catch it and will receive the Meowsticite and Supreme Butter as rewards. The Supreme Butter helps you craft better donuts, which you’ll need for future surveys.

If you prefer other ways, you can find Meowstic in the base game of Pokémon Legends: Z-A—specifically in alpha form on the rooftops of Sector 5 in Magenta. However, Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension offers more options, including the chance to evolve Meowstic into Mega Meowstic.
