The sandy desert area called Where Winds Meet is home to various plants, animals, and puzzles. Some of these are dangerous, but others are special items known as Oddities. These unique mural pieces are popular among collectors across Jianghu, who will reward you with different stat boosts when you trade them.
To find one of these Oddities, you need to locate the glowing Udumbara Flower. Your goal is to identify which of two flowers is real and which is fake so you can harvest the correct one and trade it for a mural piece. We will guide you through the steps every time.
How to Find the Udumbara Flower
Udumbara Flowers, like other Oddities, are scattered across the landscape of Where Winds Meet. They don’t have fixed spots but are often found near landmarks, such as villages, boss fights, or quest checkpoints. These flowers tend to glow and leave a mystical trail of light behind them, making them easier to spot.
Unlike typical plants, these flowers aren’t always on the ground. They can appear on walls or at the base of trees. The main thing to watch for isn’t their placement but their glow.
Tip: Besides looking for the purple or blue glow, listen for a loud, deep humming sound that starts when you’re close. This can help you track them down.
How to Tell Which One Is Real
When you get near an Udumbara Flower, it will vanish instantly, and bright white lines will shoot out from its location, pointing in different directions. These lines show you the routes to follow to find the decoys and, ultimately, the real flower. This can be confusing if multiple flowers appear, but pay attention.
You don’t have much time to choose, as the flower will reappear in its original spot once the countdown ends. If you want to pick the correct one, look for golden tendrils extending from the flower. Only the real flower has these wispy gold tendrils, helping you distinguish it from the fake ones.
Where to Exchange the Udumbara Flower
After picking the correct flower, you will receive a mural piece. This is an Oddity that can be traded with collectors or special merchants for increased stats.
To find the collector, head to the Karez Boundary Stone and go north from there. You’ll find him near a merchant stall displaying different colored dyes in front. Trade your mural piece with him to complete the hunt.
