Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road allows you to recruit an incredible 5,400 players, including characters from every other game and anime series in the franchise. The best part is that you can unlock every single one of these players directly within the game.
However, recruiting all of them requires a lot of effort and time. Here’s how to add players to your team in both of the game’s main modes.
How to Recruit Players in Online and Chronicle Mode
To expand your roster in online and Chronicle Mode, you do so by summoning players using their Spirit. You can earn these Spirits either by winning battles or by summoning them with Bond Stars.
In Chronicle Mode, battles are the most consistent way to obtain specific player Spirits, although it might take some time. You can check the chances of getting each player’s Spirit at different points in Chronicle Mode.
Alternatively, you can use Bond Stars to summon players. These Stars are gained randomly by playing online matches, or through Rare Drop Battles and Hero Battles in Chronicle Mode.
You can spend five Bond Stars to summon 12 random Spirits from assorted pools via the Player Universe tab in Chronicle Mode. Afterward, you can convert these Spirits into players by visiting the Spirits tab on the Team Dock.
How to Recruit Players in Story Mode
Recruiting players in Story Mode is a bit different from other modes, as it has a separate roster and inventory. You won’t be able to recruit players outside of those introduced through the story until you reach Chapter 4. At the start of this chapter, you select five players to join your team from a pool of 15 options. The remaining 10 players become available later, so choose your initial team wisely.
In Chapter 7, you unlock the ability to recruit players you meet around the map by completing their Bond Quests. Many players are recruitable this way, and the process generally involves:
- Talking to the player twice to learn their name.
- Giving them the item they prefer.
- Meeting them at a new location.
- Completing their Bond Quest.
Bond Quests typically involve activities like completing town rumors, doing side quests, or achieving specific goals during matches. Keep in mind, players appear on different days and times. You can change the time by visiting a Kraken Statue, like the one outside the school gate.
Once you complete all four objectives in a Bond Quest, the player joins your team and can be used in Story Mode battles. After finishing the main story, these players can also be used in other game modes.
