Fortnitemares returns with a long list of collaborations, new skins, NPCs, some fan-favorite weapons making a comeback, and a few new spooky features. This season features Ghostface, the classic horror movie villain, on the island, alongside Jason Voorhees, another horror icon.
Scooby and the gang have Trick or Treat Fortnitemares quests to complete, with a chance to unlock a Pig The Butcher skin, among other rewards. Plus, Twitch is offering free cosmetics through Twitch Drops, so be sure to tune in. Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnitemares 2025.
All About Fortnitemares 2025
This year feels more spooky and fun than ever, with loads to discover on the island during Fortnitemares 2025. Five locations have been renamed to fit the Halloween theme, and the rest have been decorated with creepy Halloween decorations and pumpkins growing throughout each area:
– Creepy Camp replacing the Resistance Base
– Viney Shafts replacing Shiny Shafts
– Gourdy Gate replacing Foxy Floodgate
– Pumpkin Pass replacing Shining Span
– Freaky Fields replacing the Outpost Enclave
All New NPCs And Bosses
New boss NPCs, such as the Knight bosses, are scattered around these locations. Defeating them rewards you with their legendary Pumpkin Launcher. Look for the skull and crown icon on your mini-map to find these bosses. They move around, so keep an eye on the map, and be cautious to dodge pumpkin rockets while fighting them.
Jason Voorhees lurks around Creepy Camps and Freaky Fields. The Mother of Thorns, played by Doja Cat, appears at the Thorny Throne (northeast of Bugswatter Beach) and at Freaky Fields. Defeating these bosses drops mythic weapons. The trick is to stay at a distance and use mid- or long-range weapons for easy takedowns.
Once defeated, the Mother of Thorns drops her mythic item, the Thorn Ripper, and a Slurp Juice. She becomes a friendly NPC that will follow you for the rest of the game. Jason Voorhees, on the other hand, is defeated permanently in that match, leaving behind the mythic High Stakes Shotgun and Slurp Juice.
The Ghostface skin can be unlocked by visiting any Stalkbox, which are at locations such as Burd Gas Station, Creepy Camp, and the bridge at Viney Shafts. Use Ghostface’s Last Call power to run faster, attack enemies, and detect nearby players.
Help Scooby and his friends by completing Fortnitemares Found Quests. They appear at various spots around the map: Viney Shafts; Burd Gas Station north of Viney Shafts; the snowy house southwest of O.X.R. HQ; and near Ranger’s Ruin. Defeating Doja Cat, The Mother of Thorns, for the first time completes a Fortnitemares quest, earning you 10,000 XP and bringing you closer to free spooky cosmetics.

The questline is split into two parts: Trick and Treat. The first set runs from October 9, 2025, until the event ends. The second set drops after about a week. Completing these quests unlocks various rewards:
– Complete Fred, Velma, Daphne, and Shaggy’s Found Quests — 10K XP
– Hire Scooby Doo — 10K XP
– Pick up the phone at a Stalkbox — 10K XP
– Hit players with Last Call — 10K XP
– Defeat the Mother of Thorns — 10K XP
– Heal or shield with Scooby Snacks — 10K XP
– Visit Pumpkin Takeovers with the Mother of Thorns — 10K XP
– Pull consumables with Thorn Ripper — 10K XP

All Fortnitemares 2025 Twitch Drop Rewards
Limited-time Twitch drops are available from October 9 at 9 AM ET until October 12 at 12 PM ET. Make sure your Twitch and Epic accounts are linked, then watch streams of Fortnite with Twitch Drops enabled. After a set amount of viewing, you will unlock two exclusive rewards:
– Treat Sack Back Bling (after 30 minutes of watching)
– Treat Axe Pickaxe (after 1 hour of watching)
