To locate bees in Grounded 2, you’ll need to search the entire Brookhollow Park map. Even if you’re in the right area, bees can be tricky to spot and may not always appear. When you encounter them, fighting them can be challenging because they defend themselves aggressively.

Finding and collecting bees is important because their drops help you face larger creatures later in the game. As you progress into the mid or late game, bees will become essential for your survival. Here’s where you can find them.

How To Find Bees

Since bees are rare insects, you might have to go out of your way to find one. If you do come across a bee, there’s a good chance others are nearby, which makes farming for resources more efficient.

Note: The spots where bees spawn are often filled with aggressive bugs, such as adult Orb Spiders. Make sure you have plenty of bandages, health items, and strong gear before heading into these areas.

Picnic Table Area

In this region, a single bee flies around. The bee is well-hidden because tall grass blocks your view. To find it, go to the edge of the Picnic Table and Snackbar Front. Near the southern part of the area, close to the rope fence, a bee will be flying around south of the picnic table. If the bee isn’t there, it might be temporarily gone, as bees usually fly for a few minutes before resting on the ground.

Tip: Bees tend to fly and then land on the ground, so look up for flying bees and be ready to strike when they come down.

Grass Games

In the eastern part of Grass Games, you can find bees either flying or resting. These bees are mainly on top of rocks on the western side, near the border with Picnic Table. Head to the rock near the Tennis Ball Anthill, which will be on the right side of the terrain. Once at the anthill, go left and climb up the rock where four or five bees can be found, though beware of other bugs that might attack you first.

Ceremony

Travel south to the middle of the Ceremony region. Here, bees are also located on a large rock. This rock is east of the Shlapz Amplifier and not hard to spot. As you climb the boulder, you’ll see at least three bees winging or resting on it.

Tip: This spot is generally safer, with fewer dangers nearby, making it easier to gather bees.

Statue

The far east part of the Statue area hosts many bees. Keep in mind, this is an end-game zone when bugs are much deadlier. So be cautious and prepare well before exploring.

Tip: When searching in Statue, look around the stone base in front of the statue POI. The northern end of the base often has several bees present.

Ice Cream Cart

In the region south of the Ice Cream Cart POI, you’ll encounter a stronger ORC variant of the bee. It’s tougher to defeat but drops the same loot as regular bees. Head south into the Ice Cream Cart area, then make your way to the fallen ice cream cart. Afterward, follow the path south until you reach a large blueberry bush. Enter the bush and travel east; the ORC bee will be at the end of the blueberry patch.

How To Defeat A Bee

Bees are large, round insects, but they aren’t as tough as they seem. With a few well-timed attacks, defeating a bee is manageable. Before engaging, craft a ranged weapon with plenty of ammo. Since bees mainly stay airborne, relying on ranged attacks is best.

When a fight starts and you hit a bee, its eyes will turn red, signaling a weak point. Aim your ranged weapon at the bee’s eyes and long-press your attack to do more damage before firing.

Bee’s Attacks:
The bee attacks mainly by bending its body and stinging. It swoops down to strike; if you don’t dodge, it can deal significant damage. Another move involves a stinger attack, where it aims downward—use your melee weapon to counter when it gets close, especially after heavy ranged hits.

Avoiding Damage:
If the bee isn’t attacking with its stinger, it may release a yellow pollen-like cloud similar to the Stinkbug’s attack. Keep your distance and attack from afar to avoid this move. When hit with stinger attacks, the bee will swoop close, so consider using a strong melee weapon during these moments to increase your damage.

Looting the Bee:
After pounding the bee with ranged attacks, it will fall to the ground, allowing you to loot it. If you’re close and it isn’t attacking with its stinger, it might release a pollen explosion—stay back and keep attacking from a safe distance.

Against the ORC Bee:
The ORC variant can be defeated the same way as regular bees but expect to need more ammo and health supplies since it’s tougher.

Bee Drops

Harvesting bees is always worthwhile. They drop valuable items like Bee Fuzz, which is used to craft the Bee armor set, and Bee Stingers. When combined with Silk Rope and other resources, Bee Stingers can be used to craft a Stinger Spear, making resource collection from bees especially profitable.
