When Callis’ throne and space elevator crash onto Kairos in Borderlands 4, bad debris falls everywhere, affecting many areas. But this chaos also gives you and the Crimson Resistance a rare chance.
A part of the space elevator has broken through the wall that the Timekeeper built around Dominion City. This break lets you sneak into the city, free it from his control, and start working to defeat him forever. But first, you need to establish a foothold inside his territory.
How to Reach Dominion
After finishing the main mission “Another Day, Another Universe,” the first step is to talk to Lilith at Moxxi’s bar back on Kairos.
Once you’ve had that chat, teleport to the Makeshift Chalet Safehouse in southern Carcadia Burns. From there, head southeast to the wreckage of the space elevator, enter the larger ship fragment, and use the console near the locked door to open the way into Dominion.
As you enter, you’ll face a new enemy type called Seeker Witnesses. They have shields that need destroying, but they fight much like other Witness enemies.
At the end of the path, use a broken pipe spewing air to give yourself a boost. Then, grapple onto the wall to reach a catwalk above. Follow this walkway around until you see a burning piece of wreckage with a grapple point. Jump across, go through the wreckage, and travel underground through the tunnel filled with debris until you reach an active checkpoint below. Once there, go through the door to enter the city, where enemies from the Order faction will attack immediately.
How to Access Levaine’s Safehouse
Clear the enemies out on the main street, then move north and a bit west to reach the courtyard outside Levaine’s old home. In front, you’ll find some Order enemies, including a Warhead, and more inside the safehouse itself.
You can start exploring Dominion once you’re inside the walls and start picking up new side quests like “Overwriting A Wrong.”
To reach the upper area where the datapad is kept, use the grapple point above a glowing tapestry of the Timekeeper. Jump through the window, climb the stairs to the catwalk, then grapple up the next two floors to grab the datapad from a table lit by a single candle.
After grabbing the datapad, clear out enemies as you make your way through the central street. Head north and slightly west to reach the courtyard outside Levaine’s abandoned home, where you’ll face additional enemies, including a Warhead and some inside the safehouse.
Getting the Datapad and Next Steps
Use the grapple point above the Timekeeper’s tapestry to jump into the window. Climb the stairs, grapple onto each subsequent floor, and retrieve the datapad from the table with a candle. Capture the safehouse to secure your first datapad in Dominion, then talk to Zadra at the window to finish this quest and unlock “A Means of Ascent.”
Completing this grants you experience points, money, Eridium, a rare or epic pistol called the Red Right Hand, and the Red Right Hand paintjob for your ECHO-4.
