Two Point Museum’s Zooseum DLC introduces new features and fresh twists to the base game. Instead of each destination having a Survey Level like in the main game, Zooseum locations have a Biodiversity Level.
During the Silverbottom Park campaign, you’ll need to boost the Biodiversity Levels at various locations. Here’s how you can do that, what you’ll earn in return—called Sanctuary Points—and how to use those points.
What does Biodiversity Level affect?
Biodiversity Levels influence the wildlife exhibits you can find in each area. As the Biodiversity Level of a Point of Interest (POI) increases, you have access to rarer and higher-quality wildlife exhibits. You’ll also need to raise these levels in Farflung Isles to advance through the campaign.
How to check Biodiversity Levels
Open the expedition map and select a POI in the Farflung Isles. The current Biodiversity Level will be displayed there. The maximum level you can reach at any location is Level 3.
How to increase Biodiversity Level
There are several ways to boost Biodiversity in each POI:
Releasing Wildlife Exhibits
The most effective method is releasing animals back into the wild. Each successful release increases the Biodiversity Level of the area from which the exhibit originated. For example, releasing a Carnivulture will raise the Biodiversity Level in Farflung Jungle. Every time you do this, you gain Sanctuary Points, and the area’s Biodiversity level improves.
It’s also a good idea to treat your animals to a spa at the Wildlife Welfare room. Not only does this provide a bonus buff to the animal, but releasing it with this buff will give you more Sanctuary Points, further boosting biodiversity.
Special Cargo Items
Cargo Items can be manufactured at your Workstation, but you need to progress enough through the campaign to unlock their recipes. Certain Cargo Items, when used by sending experts to a POI, help raise its Biodiversity Level more quickly. Examples include:
- Pollen Packet: boosts wildlife POI Biodiversity
- Rewilding Reset: significantly increases wildlife POI Biodiversity
Using these items can accelerate improvements at specific locations.
Expedition Events
Different expedition events can occur at POIs, some positively or negatively impacting their Biodiversity Level. Be sure to check which events might happen before you start an expedition; this way, you can prepare and meet requirements to counter negatives or promote positives.
How to spend Sanctuary Points
Once you’ve earned Sanctuary Points, you can spend them in the Animal Adoption tab within the Exhibits menu. There, you can buy wildlife exhibits with your points. If you’re searching for a particular species or gender, you can send out an advert for it. Sending adverts costs Kudosh instead, and once the advert is fulfilled, you can purchase the desired animal with your Sanctuary Points.
Keeping these methods in mind will help you efficiently boost Biodiversity Levels, unlock better exhibits, and advance through the campaign more smoothly.
