Using Mega Froslass in Pokémon Legends: Z-A can give you a big advantage in battles against various opponents, like Ghost-, Psychic-, and Flying-type Pokémon. But, to get Mega Froslass, you need to complete some specific tasks. It’s one of the new Mega Evolutions added in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
Mega Froslass is among other new Mega forms, such as Mega Greninja, Mega Delphox, and Mega Chesnaught. Luckily, it’s easier to find compared to the Mega Evolutions of the Kalos starters. To unlock Mega Froslass, you must gather two important items. The first is the Pokémon Froslass itself, which you can catch in several ways. The second is the Froslassite, a Mega Evolution stone, which you can only get in one way.
### Where to Find Froslass in Pokémon Legends: Z-A (Snorunt Location)
You have two options: you can evolve a female Snorunt or catch an Alpha Froslass directly.
There are two ways to get Froslass in the game. The first is by catching a female Snorunt and evolving it. You can find female Snorunt in Wild Zone 12, in Aymlist Park in the Bleu District. This zone unlocks after completing Main Mission 15. Remember, only female Snorunt can evolve into Froslass, so catch one of those. Then, use a Dawn Stone on her to evolve.
You can find Dawn Stones by exploring certain locations like Rouge Sector 2 (scaffolding activities), Rouge Sector 1 (breaking rocks), and Lysandre Café. If you’ve already finished the main story and have Zygarde, you can also buy a Dawn Stone from the Stone Emporium for about 3,000 Pokémon Dollars.
The second way is to catch Froslass directly, but you can only do this after completing the main campaign and unlocking Wild Zone 20. At night, you’ll find an Alpha Froslass in the center of Wild Zone 20, which can be tough to catch. Successfully catching it gets you one step closer to Mega Froslass.
### How to Get Froslassite in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
The Froslassite is the Mega Stone needed to Mega Evolve Froslass. You’ll naturally come across this item by progressing through the story. Specifically, you receive it after defeating the Rogue Mega Froslass in Main Mission 27. This is a challenging battle, so bring Pokémon that are strong against Ice- and Ghost-types, such as Fire- or Dark-type Pokémon. It’s best if these Pokémon can Mega Evolve too, like Mega Charizard X or Mega Absol. After beating the Rogue Mega Froslass, you’ll earn the Froslassite. If you already have a Froslass, you can give it this stone, and with enough Mega Energy, unlock Mega Froslass.
