Gems are the premium currency you can earn in The Bazaar. Fortunately, what you can get with Gems doesn’t give you an advantage in matches, so they aren’t a top priority. Still, who wouldn’t want a cool skin for their favorite character or a fancy Gold Bank that makes others jealous?
If you want to buy as many cosmetic items as possible, having more Gems in your collection helps. Let’s go over everything you need to know about earning Gems in the Bazaar and what you can do with them.
How to Earn Gems
Currently, there are only two ways to get Gems in The Bazaar.
Purchasing Microtransactions
The easiest but most costly way is to buy Gems with real money. You can choose from different bundles, which include:
Gems Count | Price |
---|---|
200 Gems | $1.99 |
525 Gems | $4.99 |
2,200 Gems | $19.99 |
5,750 Gems | $49.99 |
12,000 Gems | $99.99 |
The first time you buy a bundle, you’ll get a bonus that doubles the Gems. For example, the cheapest pack will give you 400 Gems instead of 200.
Completing Your Prize Pass
The second method involves playing the game and earning experience points (XP). Every time you level up in your Prize Pass (the game’s battle pass), you fill a Prize Tier. Each Tier requires 500 XP. You can earn XP by completing daily and weekly challenges, and also by playing regular or ranked matches, though these give less XP.
Every two Prize Tiers, you’ll earn 20 Gems. There are a total of 100 Tier levels, with the 98th being the last that awards Gems. This means there’s a steady way to earn Gems just by playing.
How to Use Gems
Once you have Gems, you can use them mainly to buy chests or the Daily Special.
Chests
Chests are loot boxes that give you a random cosmetic item. The prices are:
Number of Chests | Cost |
---|---|
1 Chest | 200 Gems |
10 Chests | 1,800 Gems |
100 Chests | 15,000 Gems |
Daily Specials
Daily Specials are specific cosmetic items of Gold or higher rarity. These change every 12 hours, and the Gems needed vary depending on the item. For example, a Legendary Album like Tides of Pelago might cost 5,000 Gems, while a Gold Bank like Magic Satchel could only be 200 Gems.
