Double XP Tokens are a powerful way to speed up your progress in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Whether you’re aiming to unlock every attachment, reach Level 55 quickly, or stay ahead during seasonal updates, these tokens can significantly reduce the time it takes to level up. Since the game features extensive systems across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Endgame modes, understanding how to earn and use these tokens is key to making your grind easier.
Here’s a quick overview of what Double XP Tokens do, how you can earn them, and the best way to activate them so you’re not wasting any time.
What Are Double XP Tokens?
Like in previous Call of Duty titles, Double XP Tokens in Black Ops 7 temporarily boost your XP gain. Each token lasts for a set period: 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes. There are three main types:
- Double XP: Boosts your overall career level XP.
- Double Weapon XP: Helps you level your guns faster for attachments and camouflage.
- Double Battle Pass XP: Speeds up your tier progress through the Battle Pass each season.
Keep in mind, these timers run in real time—if you activate a 60-minute token and leave the game or menu idle, the timer continues counting down even if you’re not actively playing. Plan accordingly before activating.
How to Get Double XP Tokens in Black Ops 7
There are several ways to earn these tokens:
- Carry-Over Tokens: If you’ve played previous Call of Duty games like Black Ops 6 or Modern Warfare, any unused XP Tokens automatically transfer into Black Ops 7, giving you some initial boosts right from the start.
- Login Bonuses: Logging in during the pre-season grants five hours of Double XP and five hours of Double Weapon XP just for signing in. The upcoming Season 1 is expected to start around December 4, so be sure to log in before then.
- In-Game Store: Double XP Tokens are available in the game’s in-store shop. Although they aren’t sold separately at launch, you can buy the Endowment Legacy Tracer Pack. This pack includes double XP, double weapon XP tokens, and other cosmetic items like skins and emotes.
- Brand Partnerships and Promotions: During the build-up to the game’s release, brands like Monster Energy, Little Caesars, and Müller offered codes for bonus tokens. These codes can be redeemed via their promotional websites. Be careful not to redeem multiple codes at once, as the rewards do not stack.
- Seasonal Battle Pass Rewards: Each season’s Battle Pass includes XP Tokens on its reward path. Some are free, while others require purchasing the full pass, costing 1,100 COD Points. If you’re still working through the previous season’s pass, you can earn the remaining tokens until December 3.
Limited-Time Events and Free Gifts
Special seasonal events often reward players with XP Tokens, sometimes just for participating lightly. Additionally, occasional in-game store gifts or rewards might include XP Tokens or bundles. Notably, the Endowment Legacy Tracer Pack is free for U.S. military members and veterans as a thank-you gesture, available through the Call of Duty Endowment promotion website. These rewards are limited in quantity, so act quickly.
How to Activate Double XP Tokens
Activating your tokens is straightforward. You can do it from the main menu, pause menu, or launcher screen by pressing the appropriate button:
- L3 on PlayStation
- LS (left stick) on Xbox
- 3 on PC
Once in the token menu, select the type of token and the duration you want. The timer begins immediately, so it’s best to activate tokens during the pre-match countdown or at the start of a game to maximize their benefits.
Planning your activations during key moments ensures you get the most value from each token, making your leveling process faster and more efficient without wasted minutes.
