The Cooking Event in Roblox’s Grow a Garden has wrapped up, with Chris being replaced by a new NPC for the Beanstalk Event. However, cooking remains a permanent part of the game, and you’ll still be able to make your favorite dishes—though you might be unsure how to do it now.
The latest update confirms you can continue cooking using a Cooking Kit. But how do you get one, and how do you use it? Here’s what you need to know.
Currently, some players are experiencing issues with the Cooking Kits, and the team is working on a fix.
### How to Get a Cooking Kit
The Garden Guide was added in the update that removed Chris P. You can find it in your inventory by searching for “Garden Guide.” Once you have it, click anywhere on it to open. It provides an index of your pets, crops, recipes, and more.
Within the Garden Guide, there’s an achievement section where you can earn a Cooking Kit. The easiest way to get one is by completing the Common Achievements challenge, which involves:
– Shoveling 100 plants
– Harvesting 200 carrots
– Gifting one carrot
– Selling 500 strawberries
– Gifting five strawberries
After completing these tasks, you can claim your Cooking Kit and Silver Seed Packet from the Garden Guide.
There are other achievement rewards offering Cooking Kits, and it appears you can hold up to three in your garden at once. But the steps above are the simplest way to earn one.
### How to Use the Cooking Kit
To use your Cooking Kit, open your Cosmetics inventory and place the kit wherever you’d like in your garden. Once placed, you can put ingredients into it as before, and you’ll still be able to view your ingredient list, mutation chance, and timer.
Chris P. is no longer involved, so there are no longer any rewards or cravings tied to him. You can refer to the complete list of cooking recipes for guidance.
The removal of cravings makes cooking easier, as cravings used to sometimes make recipes less reliable—especially if they were similar to what you were craving.
