If you leave the lights on after turning off your car or if the weather is too cold, you might find that your Sorbett won’t start. These common problems can be tricky, but this guide will help you address dead batteries and other technical issues in My Winter Car.

How to Fix a Car That Won’t Start

Here’s a list of common problems that prevent your car from starting and how to fix them:

The fuel tank is empty	Your Sorbett won’t start if there’s no fuel. You can tell if it’s empty by checking the fuel gauge on the dashboard.	Find a gasoline can at your parents’ house inside the garage. Fill the can with fuel, then add it to your car.
The car’s temperature is too low	Cold weather affects your car and can prevent the engine from starting.	Use the temperature system to keep your vehicle warm while driving. When parked at home, connect the car to the heat blocker (the device it’s plugged into initially). You can also leave the engine running when parked elsewhere to keep it warm, but don’t do it for too long to avoid wasting fuel.
The battery is dead	Cold weather and excessive use (like leaving lights or wipers on) can drain the vehicle’s battery.	To prevent this, turn off unnecessary electrical devices when parked or check the weather forecast before going out—if it’s extremely cold, consider not driving. If the battery is already dead, you can try reloading a recent save to restore it. Alternatively, wait a few minutes for the battery to charge slowly. To do this, hold the throttle at its limit while in neutral with the choke pulled out for a bit—you might successfully start the engine.
A vehicle component is broken (e.g., oil light is on)	If your car doesn’t start and other solutions don’t work, it might be a broken part.	Check the indicator lights on the dashboard for clues.
