To fish, select your fishing rod from the tool wheel, head to the water near the docks where shadowy fish icons swim, and cast your line. Fish bite quickly. The key to fishing is to keep the circle (your cursor or joystick) in the “sweet spot” — the center of the blue arc. Hold the input while reeling in the fish. The number of each fish you catch is tracked at the top of the entries, along with your biggest catch so far. Fish are a valuable resource in Bywater. Early on, they help you earn money and prepare simple meals for neighbors. Since there’s no stamina bar, it’s a good idea to catch as many fish as you can each day. Keep some for cooking, and sell the rest to buy seeds and planters for your home.
