How to Find the Bruised Face Man in Quarantine Zone: The Final Step in Completing Your Quest

“Quarantine Zone: The Last Check” gives you daily small tasks called “directives,” which are posted on the noticeboard near the checkpoint. Some of these tasks can be quite challenging or confusing, especially the one called “Bruised Face.”

At first glance, the Bruised Face quest seems straightforward, but since many survivors pass through the checkpoint, it’s easy to overlook clues or forget what you’re searching for. Here’s what you need to know to find the man with the bruised face and earn your reward.

How To Find The Man With The Bruised Face

Each directive asks you to find a specific survivor, uncover hidden contraband, kill rats and zombies, or complete other objectives. When you finish a task, you’ll earn a reward of $1,200, which can be used for upgrades and resources for your camp.

One of the trickier directives involves identifying a particular survivor, especially when multiple survivors show similar symptoms. The directive reads:

WANTED: BRUISED FACE
Survivors have reported that someone deliberately let zombies into their last safe zone. He was beaten seriously before escaping. We believe he will try to come back to this base. Don’t let him.
Duration: 1 day
Goal: Eliminate the target
Reward: $1,200

The first clue is that the survivor is a man, as the directive uses he/him pronouns. The second clue is that he has a heavily bruised face from being beaten in his previous camp.

Note: The bruising will appear yellow or green with light brown hues. Do not confuse it with cuts, dark red bruises, or blackish-green necrosis.

A hint that isn’t explicitly told but can be inferred is that the survivor is angry. He’s probably upset enough to bring zombies into a safe zone and has been beaten and kicked out of his last camp. Watch for signs of aggression, such as a grimacing expression or threatening voice lines.

Each playthrough may feature a different NPC fitting this description. In some cases, the survivor might be a white man with blond hair and a mustache, but your version could look entirely different, as long as the symptoms match.

Despite not showing other infection symptoms, your orders are to eliminate this survivor. You can do this by sending him to Liquidation or killing him yourself with a gun or hammer to complete the quest and earn the $1,200 reward.
