A functional RV is essential for safely transporting you and your team to the next destination in the physics-based survival game RV There Yet?. Nothing stops your trip faster than a broken or damaged engine.
Whether you’ve slipped on rocky ground or been nearby a bear attack, your RV can only handle so much before the engine takes the hit. To keep your adventure going, you’ll need to learn how to fix your engine and recognize when repairs are required.
How to Find Oil
A bottle of Motor Oil can be found at the campsite when you start the game. You can also find motor oil at checkpoints and points of interest, but there’s no guarantee. You’ll need to decide when to use the oil you have or if it’s better to push a little further before stopping for repairs.
Make sure your RV has enough space to store the motor oil because it’s the only way to fix a damaged engine. Keep it secured inside cupboards so it doesn’t roll around when you’re driving.
Note: If your engine becomes completely broken, unfortunately, it’s game over for you and your crew, and you’ll have to start over.
How to Repair Your Engine
You’ll know when your engine needs fixing by looking at the damage bar at the top of the screen. If it turns red, your engine has taken a beating. When possible, grab some motor oil to help repair it.
The engine is hidden beneath the bed at the back of the RV. Approaching the bed allows you to open it and see the engine underneath. With motor oil in hand, follow the prompt (on PC, use the left mouse button) to repair the engine. Once fixed, your RV is ready for the next part of your journey.
