My Winter Car offers a variety of mechanics and systems. As a survival and simulation game, you’ll need to learn how to control different aspects, such as driving and taking care of your needs. One small but important detail is your phone.
You can use the phone in your house, near the main door, by clicking on the handset and typing the number on your keyboard. Make sure to press the numbers quickly and consecutively — waiting too long between digits can cause the call to start prematurely. During a call, you will see subtitles for the initial lines of dialogue, but the other person’s speech will be in Finnish. It’s important to stay on the line until the call ends naturally, indicated by a beep, or the call won’t count.
You can also receive calls at different times of the day, like one about a subscription while returning home near evening. Just be aware that calls are unpredictable, and you might get messages or notifications at random times.
So far, there are three known phone numbers in the game:
| Phone Number | Purpose | Location |
|—————-|———|———-|
| 08 609 553 | Reijo’s phone — sells the Corris Rivett | Found at the PSK gas station, on the wall to the right of the ATM |
| 08 231 206 | Leaflet distribution job — receive mail with leaflets | Same location as Reijo’s number, at the gas station |
| 08 712 112 | Taxi driver job — contact during the game | Also at the station; this appears later in the game, not on the first day |
Notably, you don’t have to track these numbers in-game. If you already know them, you can start a new save and use the phone immediately.
You can also order specific car parts by using your phone. To do this, pick up a magazine — either the Kansalaisen Marketti magazine at the gas station or the AMIS magazine at your parents’ house. After purchasing one, go home and dial the number for the part you want. The part will be delivered to the gas station after a few days. Each part has a specific number listed at the end of its description in the magazine. You can switch the magazine’s language to English by pressing the UK flag in the menu.
