There are five safes in the game: two in Chapter Three and three in Chapter Six. The combination for each safe is usually written on a small piece of paper nearby. Sometimes, you can also listen for the clicking sound of the dial passing over the correct number, which adds a bit of a challenge if you’re trying to crack the safe manually.
Tip: You can earn the “Salvatore’s Apprentice” achievement or trophy by opening safes without ever reading the combination notes.
To open a safe, approach it and interact to start the cracking process. Listen carefully for the clicks to find the right number, or check the note if you have it. When you have the correct three numbers, press the act button to input each one. Once all three are correct, the safe will open, revealing its contents.
