How to Find and Loot an Arc Deforester in Arc Raiders: Completing and Solving

Whenever a new update for Arc Raiders is released, one common addition is new quests. These quests often lead you to explore new areas on the map or continue storylines from previous missions. They’re also a good way to earn rewards without too much trouble.

One such quest is called A Prime Specimen. It introduces you to the Arc Deforesters on the Blue Gate map. These deforesters have been around since the game started, but you might not have noticed them until this quest. Here’s how you can easily loot them.

Where to Find Arc Powercells

The first part of the A Prime Specimen quest is to find two Arc Powercells during a raid. These are quite easy to obtain—anytime you defeat an Arc, you can loot a Powercell. Usually, even small enemies drop one. The quest only requires you to find two, which means looting the Arc Deforester will suffice. However, in practice, the loot checkbox may uncheck once you use the Powercells on the deforester. So, it’s best to gather about four just to be safe.

Where to Find an Arc Deforester

You’ll find Arc Deforesters mainly on the Blue Gate map, which is where you need to go for this quest. Look for a circular, ruined Arc structure on your map—this is where they are. One is typically near Maintenance Bunker, with many more along the southwestern and western edges of the map. Head to any of these, and you can complete the quest. Keep in mind, some deforesters might be already looted, so you may need to find another one.

How to Loot the Arc Deforester

Approach the Arc Deforester and look for a sparking control panel. The sparks are easy to spot from a distance. When you see them, go over and interact with the panel to use your first Arc Powercell, which will cause a nearby fire trap to activate.

Avoid the fire and move further into the structure, where you’ll find another sparking panel. Interact with it and insert your second Arc Powercell to fully activate the deforester. After that, head back outside and find a way to climb onto the platform directly above the control panels.

Usually, you need to climb onto the structure next to the panels, then jump back onto it to reach the higher platform. Once you’re on the upper level, go to the edge and loot the deforester. This completes the A Prime Specimen quest.
