Make sure to bring your best donut, ideally with at least 20 extra levels added to your Pokémon, to stay prepared for the challenge.
How to Defeat the Rogue Mega Staraptor
Once you enter the portal, you’ll face a Rogue Mega Staraptor. This Pokémon is incredibly powerful, quick, and aggressive — keep attacking and moving constantly. After dealing some damage, Staraptor will start teleporting and kicking, attempting to attack directly. Be ready to dodge these powerful strikes, or they’ll knock you out.
Collect Mega Energy balls from the ground during the fight; maintaining high DPS is key to minimizing the risk of KO. After you defeat it, you’ll have the opportunity to catch Staraptor and will earn a Staraptite Mega Stone.
Rewards for Catching Mega Staraptor
After capturing Staraptor, you’ll receive the Mega Energy necessary to Mega Evolve it. Also, break open the golden Poké Ball found after the fight using a Pokémon move — this will reward you with Hyper Berries like Pomeg, Kelpsy, Qualot, and Hondew. Additionally, you’ll obtain Great Butter, allowing you to enhance your donut recipes by increasing the number of berries you can add by one, making better donuts in the process.
Completing this fight and catching Staraptor seals the completion of Hyperspace Lumiose Survey No. 2, marking the end of that portion of the DLC.
