It’s recommended to catch Raichu before the release of the Mega Dimension DLC for Legends: Z-A, which will enable Raichu to Mega Evolve using Raichunite X or Y. Here’s where you can find Pikachu and its evolutions.

### Where to Find Pichu
You’ll probably see Pichu early in the game, as it spawns in Wild Zone 1. However, it’s pretty shy and will run away if it notices you. Stay hidden in the grass and try to catch it before it spots you. If it escapes, it will respawn shortly.
Pichu appears as a single spawn in the northwest corner of Wild Zone 1. To reach it, you can:
– Destroy the rocks near the gate after meeting Mable to access the northern part of Wild Zone 1. The water barrier prevents crossing, but there’s a ladder to the north that lets you climb to the roof and drop near Pichu. Be careful not to drop too close or it may run away.
– Alternatively, leave Wild Zone 1 through the western exit, then circle around to enter via the northwestern entrance, which is right behind Pichu and requires no obstacle removal.
### Where to Find Pikachu
Pikachu can be found in Wild Zone 3, mostly in the southeastern section. There are several spawn points here, making it a good area for shiny Pokémon hunting as well.
### How to Get Raichu
Once you’ve caught Pikachu, evolving it into Raichu is straightforward—use a Thunder Stone. You can get a Thunder Stone by:
– Visiting the Stone Emporium on Vernal Avenue in Lumiose City, where it costs 3,000 Poké Dollars.
– Finding one as an item (scattered around the city in Poké Balls).
To evolve Pikachu, open your menu, go to ‘Satchel,’ select the Thunder Stone from ‘Other Items,’ and choose Pikachu in your party. The evolution will happen immediately.
