Crimson Desert is now available, so get ready for adventure. Prepare your weapons, gather your healing potions, and dive into a vast fantasy world filled with dangers aiming to turn you into history. You’ll spend plenty of time exploring and completing the main story, but there are many side quests too.
One of the side quests involves hunting down Blix, a goblin wanted for bounty. Unlike some earlier bounties, this one can be tricky because Blix is often surrounded by his goblin friends and only appears at certain times of day. Here’s what you need to know to capture him alive.
Where to Find Blix
To start the Blix bounty, look for wanted posters around Hernand. The specific poster you find is random, so explore the town and watch your mini-map for purple scroll icons—these are quest notices, often indicating bounty hunts. I found my poster for Blix outside the inn in Hernand, but it might be somewhere else for you.
Blix spawns in a small crevice just south of Unicorn Cliff. He only appears between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. in-game time. If you arrive too early or too late, you’ll need to wait or sleep until the right time. Fast traveling doesn’t seem to affect the in-game clock, so sleeping is your best bet to time your visit.
The game’s time is displayed on the bottom left corner of your HUD, above your mini-map and location name. When you reach the crevice, you’ll see Blix surrounded by a group of goblins. He is the one who’s shirtless, in shorts, with a large gray mustache.
How to Capture Blix
Catching Blix can be a challenge at first. Goblins swarm him, and you’ll need to fight through them to reach your target. Luckily, Blix is pretty fragile—he can die in just a few sword strikes. The key is to divert his allies away from him using arrows or by provoking them and then backing off. This way, you can fight the goblins one at a time and avoid accidentally hitting Blix.
To tie him up, crouch and press the combat button combination: Y+B on Xbox or Triangle + Circle on PlayStation, while targeting him. Be aware this is risky because other enemies can interrupt or damage you during the attempt.
A safer but more tedious way is to eliminate all of Blix’s goblin friends first. Then, back away to lure Blix to lose interest and wander back to the crevice. When he’s alone, crouch sneak behind him and approach while he’s unaware. You’ll get the option to tackle him—this lets you land a few punches before tying him up.
Once you’ve secured Blix, place him on your horse and ride him to the prison to turn in the bounty and claim your reward.
Important Tips
Killing Blix outright can cause bugs. During testing, I found that killing him made it impossible to loot or move his body, which prevented turning in the bounty. To avoid this issue, save your game manually before hunting Blix. Always aim to capture him alive—doing so helps prevent softlocks or bugs that might lock you out of progressing.
