In Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, having a place to rest is crucial for both your character and your progress. Shrines often provide a break from the dangerous land filled with deadly traps and fierce enemies. Finding all of them ensures you’re prepared for each challenge.

However, not every shrine is a safe spot. It’s important to distinguish between genuine shrines and false ones. Finishing a dungeon and then triggering a possessed shrine can be frustrating. Luckily, we’ve discovered all the shrines so you won’t get caught off guard.

What Can I Do at Shrines?

Although the main purpose of shrines is to rest and heal, they offer many other benefits, some more important than others.

At any shrine, you can:

  • Enter Dreams: Rest and reset your location.
  • Tempering: Change the needles that apply temporary effects to your weapons.
  • Benedictions: Check and modify passive effects on your weapons.
  • Invoke: Exchange your sanity for rare items, which can increase Madness.
  • Warehouse: Store or retrieve items like DLC clothing.
  • Discipline: Swap out unique Discipline skills on your weapons learned from the Impetus Repository.
  • Impetus Repository: Level up and unlock new skills.
  • Teleport: Travel between locations, which also resets map areas.

Note: Resetting a location respawns enemies except minibosses, bosses, and Inner Demons. Only Enter Dreams and Teleport keep enemies from respawning, making them safe options for leveling or interacting with shrines.

All Shrine Locations

To earn the Radiant Faith achievement/trophy for discovering all 50 shrines and offering Blood at each, you need to find every shrine. Most are along the main path or after defeating bosses. Beware, some shrines are impostors; they appear as safe but will attack you.

Impostor shrines are marked with the tag “Interact” instead of “Offer Blood” and are vulnerable to fire damage. Defeat these impostors in combat before interacting with them.

Below is a list of shrine locations, and whether they require defeating a hostile impostor first:

Act One Shrines

  • Reverent Temple: Outside the starting temple, on the right after descending stairs.
  • Buddha Cliffs: At the top of the wooden walkway in the Buddha Cliffs area.
  • Lightzen Temple: Outside the courtyard, on the left side, near Wu Gang.
  • Shu Sanctum: Inside on the ground floor, to the right of the stairs, opposite where Nian Suichang starts.
  • Annalum: Up the road from Shu Sanctum, past the torch demon miniboss.
  • Mercury Workshop: After defeating Lu Bingzhang, use the Shu Sanctum key on the altar. Basement access through stairs.
  • Bandit Cave: Inside Mercury Workshop’s lower area, just above the Blightweaver.
  • Doomwillow Beach: After defeating the boss Blightweaver, on the left side of the first open area, where it attacks.
  • Lu Mansion: Via stairs at Doomwillow Beach, top of the hill, accessible from the rightmost path.
  • Corpse Pits: After defeating Soulwood.
  • Palace Hill: Behind the Tang Emperor’s palace, on the roof path.
  • Lotus Pond: After Honglan, teleport back and run to it; unlocking this grants the trophy immediately in NG+.

Some shrines require defeating enemies or bosses; others are safe to access freely.

Act Two Shrines

  • Hillswatch: At the foot of the hillside after unlocking the Cloudspire at Reverent Temple.
  • Snowy Passage: Inside the cave between Hillwatch and Cloudspire Outskirts.
  • Cloudspire Outskirts: At the base of the first pyre tower and near a shortcut gate.
  • Rebel Camp: Via the shortcut from Cloudspire Outskirts, climbing the hill and using the ladder.
  • Mort Grotto: Two methods— from Snowy Passage via a cave or bypassing it, climbing a ledge near tents.
  • Snowpeak Pass: After defeating Liu Cheng’en.
  • Cloudspire City: At the dead end of the street after Snowpeak Pass.
  • Snowfall Palace: Post-Cloudspire City, falling from the rooftops outside.
  • Treasure Trove: After Huang Yan, via elevator in Snowfall Palace.
  • Shaft Entrance: Along the path in the Treasure Trove area, near Fang Yao.
  • Bride’s Boudoir: Completing the Shaft area or shortcut by boulders.
  • Wedding Hall: After Fang Ling’s defeat.

Act Three Shrines

  • Avian Marsh: Hidden inside a wooden shack under a log or accessed through the Refugee Camp.
  • Mt. Zhenwu Antechamber: At the top of stairs entering Mt. Zhenwu Temple.
  • Pavilion of Knowledge: Midway between bosses in the temple, inside a cavern.
  • Altar Gate: Outside the Fierce Tiger boss arena at the top of Mt. Zhenwu.
  • Zhenwu Altar: After defeating Fierce Tiger.
  • Ferry Overlook: At the end of the Bamboo Path, post-Fierce Tiger.
  • Bai Mansion: Using the boat from Bai Mansion, to the left upon entry.
  • Rivulet: Post-Bai Kru fight, at the mansion.

Act Four Shrines

  • Annalum: On the main story path after Fierce Tiger, entered through the Storyteller.
  • Shu Sanctum: From Annalum, cross the bridge and descend stairs.
  • Annalum Courtyard: By going up the hill past enemies, using the invisible bridge, or passing Nian Suichang’s quest.
  • Palace Vegetable Garden: From Shu Sanctum, head down the wooden path to the palace.
  • Palace Pass: Down into the Lotus Pond, then across cliffs, through caves, and to a fort.
  • Palace Entrance: After Palace Pass, fighting Honglan, then teleporting.
  • Bo Shrine: After defeating Bo Magus.
  • Reverent Temple: Same as in Act One, outside the temple.
  • Burning Cavern: Inside the cave at the start area.

Act Five Shrines

  • Depths of the Capital: Proceed through Bo Capital and take the elevator shortcut; cross hill to find it.
  • Shrine Dwelling: Interact with the door on the left of the Depths shrine, select “The Wheel Turns Anew.”
  • Forbidden Lands: Cross the bone bridge and solve the ladder puzzle to access.
  • Gate of Truth: After defeating the final boss, in the cave at the top of the stairs leading to the shrine.

Each shrine’s tag indicates if it’s genuine (“Offer Blood”) or impostor (“Interact”). Impostors can be defeated in combat; they are weak to fire.

By exploring all these locations and interacting or defeating impostors as needed, you’ll unlock every shrine and earn the achievement for your exploration efforts.
