Survivors in the Quarantine Zone: The Last Check will try to get through the checkpoints and reach the safe zone, even if they are infected. This makes your job harder because you must ignore their pleas and go through each check carefully before sending them to one of three places.

Before evacuation day, survivors stay in the Safe Survivor Zone, the Quarantine Cell, or the Laboratory. Infected survivors are eliminated during liquidation to prevent infection spread. Knowing how to identify symptoms early helps you make the right choices.

Each symptom in the game is detected either with a tool or visually. In endless mode, all tools are already available, but in campaign mode, you’ll need to unlock and upgrade them as you go. Here are all the symptoms you will encounter, their threat level, and the best tool for detection.

Use every tool you can to check for symptoms. Missing a symptom can result in penalties or the unintentional transfer of infected survivors to the safe zone, which can harm your score and leave you short of survivors needed to meet quarantine goals.

### Safe Symptoms
If a survivor exhibits only these symptoms, send them directly to the Survivor Zone. If new signs appear, they can be sent to the lab for further analysis, but they will be killed in the process—better safe than sorry.

### Quarantine Symptoms
These symptoms are borderline; the survivor may just be sick or infected. A day or two in quarantine will clarify the situation. If they improve, send them to the Survivor Zone. If they worsen or turn into zombies, they must be eliminated. If new signs emerge, send them to the lab for further testing, but they will die during the process.

### Infection Symptoms
These symptoms indicate a high risk of infection. Survivors showing these signs are highly contagious and must be sent to liquidation immediately. If new infection signs appear, they can be sent for further analysis, but they will die during the process.

### Symptoms of Infection
These are critical signs; any survivor with these must be immediately sent to liquidation. If they show new infection signs, send them for further testing, knowing they will not survive.
