Her Flaming Vision is the final main mission in the Ripper Queen storyline of Borderlands 4. It involves a daring attack on Callis’ hideout in the Fallen Crown crater, which is difficult to access, and a face-to-face fight with the aspiring goddess. Before starting, you need to figure out how to get inside Fallen Crown.
Whether you’re crushed by the Drill Dozer or torn apart by Callis herself, this guide will help you complete the mission and put an end to her terror over Carcadia Burn.
### How to Start Her Flaming Vision
When you return to Carcadia City after finishing the Unpaid Tab mission, talk to Levaine to continue the story. Instead of her usual spot in the Leaders’ Chamber, she’ll be on the west side of the plateau. Sometimes she stays in the chamber but doesn’t give quests, so make sure to talk to the outdoor version seated on the west side.
During the conversation, you’ll see rockets launching from Callis’ hideout at the northwest edge of Carcadia Burn. Fallen Crown Crater is separated from the mainland by an impassable chasm. To get across, meet Zane at the nearest point and figure out a way over.
Zane will give you a bomb. Place it on the rocks blocking the ramp, then shoot it to weaken the obstacles. Mount your digirunner and boost into the pad at full speed to shatter the remaining rocks.
#### Should You Test the Ramp or Talk to Zane?
The game gives you a choice: test the ramp by running your vehicle over it with boost active, or talk to Zane to skip the test. Testing the ramp will cause you to fall and die, which means respawning, so it’s better to talk to Zane. Afterward, your goal is to get a spatial accelerator from the Rippers at the Gunkworks, at the northern edge of Carcadia Burn.
### How to Get the Spatial Accelerator
The front door to Gunkworks is unlocked, allowing you to walk directly inside. However, it’s heavily guarded by Rippers, so be prepared to fight many enemies. You must defeat all enemies inside before proceeding.
Once secure, check out the giant crawler to the northeast of the base. Approach it and Zane will tell you to look for a garage. Head to the large door on the northwest side of the Gunkworks, where the Drilldozer Deluxe will emerge.
#### How to Stop the Drilldozer Deluxe
First, get out of the way; the Drilldozer will flatten you if it runs over you. Use the walls around the Gunkworks to jump onto platforms on the Drilldozer. Make your way to the front and interact with the panel there, which requires a keycard.
The keycard is carried by the site foreman, Holey Moley, who is on top of the crawler. Jump from the Drilldozer as it passes to reach the crawler and climb to the top to fight Holey Moley. After defeating him, take the override key he drops, go back to the panel, and insert it.
A door will open underneath the override panel. Drop down and inside, turn all the valves to overheat the engine, then grab the spatial accelerator as it appears in the room. Return with it to Zane at the cliff.
### How to Reach Callis
Place the accelerator on the machine next to Zane and activate the generators on the left and right. Hop onto your digirunner again and hit both pads at full boost to launch yourself across a gap. Aim straight ahead and don’t try to jump or glide; you’ll land safely in a cave below the crater’s edge.
Inside Fallen Crown, fight your way to the rear section and clear out all enemies at the launch site. Afterward, approach the fortress door in the northwest, defeat Mud Mouth and the guards, and enter the Moon-Called Throne to begin the final battle.
Rooms inside are straightforward: defeat the Rippers and move through each chamber. The last room is locked and needs ECHO-4 to hack. Fight off waves of enemies while the bot does its job. Once inside, prepare at the vending machines, then jump into the grinder wheels to face Callis.
### How to Beat Callis, the Ripper Queen
Callis is a tough boss who can take a lot of damage, and her attacks are relentless. Her weak point is her head, but she moves and shifts her stance often, so it’s better to aim for her center mass most of the time. When she drops to the ground and stops moving, standing on her feet, she’s mostly still for a while, giving you a chance for headshots.
She starts the fight flanked by three Suicide Psychos, which she sends at you. Use grenades or area attacks to clear them out early and prevent self-destruction.
Callis is heavily armored, so bring a weapon with decent Corrosion damage. This type of damage helps break her armor quickly and destroys the orbs dropped by her flying minion, Tabnak. Cryo damage can also be effective against the Rippers that spawn during the fight and deal with her armor.
When her armor is gone, she becomes briefly invulnerable and creates holograms that slow your movement if you enter them. Stay out of them while fightingRippers and wait for her to become vulnerable again. Switch to Incendiary or your most powerful damage weapons to finish her off.
#### Tabnak, The Ripper Prince
Tabnak flies over the arena during the fight, dropping explosive Ripper orbs. In general, it’s best to ignore him. His orbs are easy to dodge, and you can use them for targeting if you need a Second Wind. He doesn’t spawn reliably enough for consistent healing, so having the orbs handy can be a lifesaver.
You can also get Tabnak close to critical health, then finish him off for a Second Wind—he will respawn afterward.
After Callis is defeated, claim her loot and her Command Bolt. Use the purple orb and the fortress’ Fast Travel stations to return to the surface. From there, head to Carcadia City and talk to Levaine to complete this part of the main story.
