Getting sick in the game is pretty common. The most frequent injuries are sprains and broken bones. Even though the game has high jumps and daring stunts, gravity still affects you. Falling from a tall height can cause damaged limbs just like in real life.
To prevent fall damage, use a special move called a Mighty Drop before hitting the ground. This move completely negates fall damage and helps avoid leg injuries.
Apart from falls, you can catch various other illnesses. For example, poisoning can happen if you interact with Datura flowers, burns from fire attacks, bee stings when approaching Whisper Hives, or mental issues after reading mysterious books. Many of these illnesses impair your character by lowering defenses, slowing endurance recovery, or reducing your maximum health. It’s best to avoid these ailments when possible.
You can see any illnesses you have in the Constitution menu, where your character’s attributes are displayed, or on the HUD, which shows what effects are currently active. If left untreated, these illnesses can get worse, increasing the difficulty of healing and the costs involved.
You can often recover from sickness on your own, similar to real life. For instance, sprains happen when you fall, but if you stop falling from heights, they usually recover naturally. Minor issues like bee stings heal over time. Sometimes, performing the Tai Chi Mystic Art or taking a swim can help cure certain ailments, although the game doesn’t tell you this, so you might never discover these methods.
There are only two other ways to heal illnesses: visiting a clinic or asking another player for help. In the Qinghe region, near Blissful Retreat, is the Evercare Clinic. Here, you can pay a doctor to treat your illness—costs can be around 10,000 coins, even for minor injuries. The other option is to request help from another player. You can do this by selecting your illness in the menu, which allows you to choose from a list of available players to heal you. Keep in mind, it may take some time for other players to accept your request, especially if they’re busy.
In online mode, the fastest way to get healed is to go to the Evercare Clinic and find healer players who are often hanging out there. They typically offer healing services directly and may ask for likes or other in-game appreciation as payment. If you’re a healer yourself or part of the Silver Needle sect, this is a good way to find patients and earn likes to maintain your reputation.
