Digimon Story Time Stranger features a wide variety of Digimon—totaling 451 different species. However, some Digimon are more popular than others. Characters from the franchise’s many anime series are especially beloved, and those familiar with the series will find these favorites particularly appealing. The “Banner” Digimon, which are prominent in the anime, tend to be the most sought after, especially if they’re from well-known installments.
That’s why this guide focuses on how to obtain Veemon, Davis’ partner in the classic Digimon Adventure 02 and the popular 2023 sequel movie. Davis is a fun and consistently entertaining character, despite the ups and downs of the second season. For fans of Davis, finding Veemon should be a top priority in Time Stranger.
### The Fastest Way to Get Veemon in Digimon Story Time Stranger
The quickest way to get Veemon is after you defeat MetalGreymon, which usually happens within the first hour of playing through the main story. If your goal is to add Veemon to your team as soon as possible, it’s best to speed through the early stages of the game until this fight is completed.
The first step is to acquire Punimon. You can only encounter Punimon after beating MetalGreymon, so that’s a key milestone. Once you’ve defeated MetalGreymon, go back to your previous area, and you’ll start running into Punimon in battles. Don’t worry if you skip past Punimon early on—they are available elsewhere in the game as well.
If you’re playing the Time Stranger demo, keep in mind that its story mode ends fairly soon, so you’ll need to be quick to catch Punimon before the demo concludes. I haven’t personally tested the demo, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re playing that version.
Once you have Punimon, you’ll need to level it up to 100% or higher using the Convert function. Then, evolve it into Tsunomon by training Punimon through several levels. Its stats at lower levels are easy to meet, so expect to reach the required levels around level 9.
Next, raise Tsunomon a bit more before it can evolve into Veemon. To speed this process up, you can use the Load Enhancement feature to quickly boost its levels. The specific stat requirements for Tsunomon to digivolve into Veemon are as follows:
– Attack (ATK): at least 280
– Speed (SPD): at least 170
You also need to be at Agent Rank 1, which is your starting rank, so that’s not an issue. When your Tsunomon’s stats meet or exceed these thresholds, revisit the Digivolution menu. Veemon’s silhouette will appear as an available evolution path. Once you select it, congratulations! Veemon and its signature move, Veemon Headbutt, will be added to your team.
