After completing a few Rogue Mega Battles in the Mega Dimension DLC of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, several Side Missions unlock in Hyperspace. These missions are called Hyperspatial Scuffles and are basically rematches against various trainers from the main game, involving double battles. Although they are numbered in order, all of these missions become available at the same time, so you can do them in any order, and they all have the same level of difficulty. Each one requires a Donut to access, best if matched with or higher than your current star rating. Defeating the trainers rewards you with their unique outfits.
Canari And Tarragon Rematch Battle
Side Mission 151: Hyperspatial Scuffle Vs. DYN4MO!
For this fight, you’ll face Canari and Tarragon in a double battle, which you can find as a Hyperspace Side Mission inside Racine Construction. Your partner will be Naveen. You’ll need to strategize around type advantages, with Ground types being the top choice since they counter their Pokémon effectively. Ice types also work well, but watch out for Excadrill.
It’s recommended to Mega Evolve right at the start of the fight if possible. Successfully winning will net you Canari’s outfit, which can be worn separately, including her suit, tie, glasses, and leather satchel. As a bonus, each completed side mission grants 10,000 Pokémon Dollars and 100 Mega Shards.
How to Unlock Canari’s Tracksuit
Defeating Canari and Tarragon awards you Canari’s tracksuit set. The complete outfit items can be worn individually—though the shoes are not included in this set and cost 100,000 Pokémon Dollars if you want her exact shoes. Cheaper colored versions are available for the same style.
Ivor And Gwynn Rematch Battle
Side Mission 152: Hyperspatial Scuffle Vs. The Fist Of Justice
This rematch takes place near the Justice Dojo. Your opponents are Ivor and Gwynn, with Korrina as your partner. To counter their Pokémon effectively, consider using Flying-type Pokémon to cover weaknesses. Ghost types are also effective because they resist fighting and are super-effective against Gwynn’s Ghost-types. The opponent Pokémon include Heracross, Machamp, Falinks, and Mega variants of Gourgeist, Candelure, and others.
Winning this match rewards you with Ivor’s Gi Set—an outfit that includes a full character skin resembling Ivor, complete with his muscles. The set’s pieces can be worn separately: the full suit, gloves, shoulder bag, and hairstyle accessories.
How to Unlock Ivor’s Gi Set
Use a Donut that boosts your level above 150 for a much easier battle. Completing this rematch will give you Ivor’s outfit, which you can wear in parts, or as a full character skin.
Corbeau And Philippe Rematch Battle
Side Mission 153: Hyperspatial Scuffle Vs. The Rust Syndicate!
Inside the Rust Syndicate’s main hall, you’ll face Corbeau and Philippe, with Taunie or Urbain as your partner depending on your initial choices. Their Pokémon include Roserade, Gyarados, Scolipede, Mega Gyarados, and Mega Skarmory. Fire-type Pokémon are highly effective here, especially to handle Gyarados, with Electric types helping to counter it specifically.
Upon victory, you’ll earn Corbeau’s outfit, which features separate clothing pieces: a suit and tie, glasses, and a leather satchel. These items can be worn separately.
How to Unlock Corbeau’s Outfit
Again, use a Donut that raises your level over 150 to make quick work of these battles. Corbeau’s outfit pieces include a full suit, glasses, and satchel, which can be equipped individually.
Jacinthe And Lebanne Rematch Battle
Side Mission 154: Hyperspatial Scuffle Vs. The SBC
This battle is outside Hotel Richissime, against Jacinthe and Lebanne, with Lida as your partner. Their Pokémon include Mega Carbink, Mawile, Clefable, Noivern, Tyrantrum, Dragalge, and more. The strategy should focus on using Ice and Ground types to cover their weaknesses—Ice for Mega Clefable, Dragalge, Tyrantrum, and Noivern; Ground for Carbink and Mawile.
Winning rewards Jacinthe’s outfit, which can be worn in parts: a dress, pillbox hat, gloves, tights, pumps, and a satchel. The clothing is interchangeable and not gender-restricted.
How to Unlock Jacinthe’s Dress
Defeat the duo to obtain her dress set. Using a level-150 Donut can help you win quickly, as each outfit piece can be equipped separately.
Grisham And Griselle Rematch Battle
Side Mission 155: Hyperspatial Scuffle Vs. Team Flare Nouveau
Located near Team Flare’s food truck, the battle features Grisham and Griselle, with Emma as your partner. Their Pokémon include Pyroar, Tyranitar, Mega Charizard X, Talonflame, Metagross, among others. Prioritize Rock and Ground coverage to effectively counter their team composition.
Victory grants Grisham’s Chef Top Set, which includes a full outfit: Tops, Pants, Gloves, Glasses, Shoes, and a Satchel, all wearable separately.
How to Unlock Grisham’s Chef Top Set
Use a Donut to boost your level over 150 to make this fight easier and faster. The items are all individually wearable, with each piece adding to the chef’s look.
All these rematches involve battles of similar difficulty, and completing them yields good rewards, including outfit pieces and currency to customize your character’s look.
