High On Life 2 puts you in the role of an outlaw bounty hunter. While most of your time will be spent hunting and taking down criminals, even the toughest villains need to pause for a family dinner. The early parts of the game are filled with intense action and edgy humor, but your sister Lizzie introduces a different kind of mission that mixes things up.
The “Dinner With Mom” side mission is worth completing early because it offers good rewards, including a significant amount of money, some special guns, and an unusual story.
How to Start Dinner With Mom
You unlock this bounty after killing Larry Pinkstock and Muppy Doo, then picking up Jeppy from the train station. Lizzie arranges a dinner with you, her, and your mom at the Spaceforest Cafe.
To begin, enter the RV, select the screen near the driver’s seat, and press “Track” to start the mission.
Begin the mission from the center of the Circuit Arcadia Map and head southeast toward the Circuit Arcadia Mall, which is where the mission begins, as shown on the map.
How to Get to the Spaceforest Cafe
You’ll get a call from Lizzie informing you that you need to take the sewers to reach the cafe. Follow the path to the marker, and shoot the pulsing green blob to open the door ahead.
A force field will block your way. To proceed, turn left, shoot a pulsing red blob to clear some partitions blocking a hole, then shoot one of Creature’s kids inside. Guide the kid along the path below using a laser pointer until it reaches another partition. Use Sweezy’s charged shot to shoot away partitions by hitting another green blob, then guide the kid again. Repeat this process, shooting the green blob above the next set of partitions, guiding the kid into the tunnel above, and repeating once more to lower the force field.
Continue heading east following the map marker. When you reach the sewer entrance, shoot a Creature kid through a yellow hole, timing it to avoid the crackling electricity. Guide the kids from left to right, opening the door. Enter the sewer and use the wind turbine to boost over electric fences. Follow the left path, grind along the wall, jump into the large sewer grate, then use wind boosts to navigate across pipes and past spinning fans. This will lead you out of the sewer and back onto land.
Jump over the fence and head south into the Circuit Arcadia Zoo, staying on the right side until you see the facade of the Spaceforest Cafe.
How to Fight Tiffany
Enter the restaurant and turn left to sit with your family for dinner. Choose an appetizer, then follow the conversation until Tiffany, a biker woman, interrupts with a fight. Use the environment—trees and high ground—to your advantage, staying mobile and switching weapons as needed. When Tiffany’s health drops to about 25%, she retreats with her allies, giving you a moment to regroup.
Jump into the RV and head to Wyoming to rescue your dad from a cult.
Rescuing Your Dad from the Cult
You arrive at Birch Springs Ranch, greeted by guards. To get inside, team up with Travis and Jan by selecting Travis as the main target and using Jan to perform Trick Shots on the green and silver platform along the coast. This tactic boosts your jump and allows you to cross gaps.
Inside, follow the path to Birch Springs Wellness Center. Enter the building, talk to Ted (who originally introduced your dad to the cult), then move through the lobby to find Gwendolyn. She directs you to the Ego Chamber deep in the forest, where your dad is being held.
Follow the breadcrumb trail out of the building and down the road. When you arrive at the Ego Chamber, break your dad free, fight your way out, and deal with the monsters that spawn from defeated foes. Return to the main lodge where your mom is waiting. After a family argument, head through the hallway to find Ted’s clothes and further confrontations.
Defeating the Big Mutant Mini Boss
Activate Ted’s clothes to summon the Big Mutant boss. Use Jan and Travis’s weapons to chip away at its health while dodging around the room. Use cover, unload your weapons, and repeat the process until the boss is defeated. Once clear, exit the room through the windows and fields to reach the Completion Hall, where a failed ceremony leads to a fight with Gwendolyn, now transformed into the Gwendolyn Birch Boss.
Fighting Gwendolyn
Gwendolyn’s weak spot is the pulsing pink blob she grabs when near you—shoot it to do damage. Avoid her projectiles and shoot her blister when she grabs you, using Travis to attack her weak spot. As Jan advises, keep your distance but stay within Travis’s range. Repeat this attack pattern until she is defeated.
The Final Phase
Gwendolyn resurrects and enters a new phase, firing green projectiles. Keep dodging and attacking her weak spot exposed when she’s vulnerable, maintaining distance and using your team’s firepower. This phase is similar to previous ones, relying on careful movement and high damage output. Repeat until she is finally defeated for good.
Post-Battle Rewards
After defeating Gwendolyn, escape the scene and follow the path outside the window through the fields to the Completion Hall. You try to interrupt the final cult ritual, but things go wrong, leading to an encounter with Gwendolyn’s last form.
Once you return to the RV, you’ll debrief with your team, including your dad, mom, and Letsdoit. Rewards include 4,500 Pesos from the funds jar, a dual weapon upgrade for Jan and Travis, along with other additional upgrades and benefits.
