How to Complete the Introductions Quest and Solve Everyone's Curiosity in Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley features many unique NPCs you can build friendships and relationships with. Most of these characters are easy to find and start talking to right from day one, but some take longer to meet.

Your first task will be to introduce yourself to 28 residents around the valley. It can be tricky to know who to meet and where they are, so this guide will help you find each NPC needed for the introductions quest, along with their locations in Pelican Town.

### Pelican Town

Pelican Town is the central area where most residents live. There are 17 characters here, making it easy to complete your introductions early on as you explore and meet everyone. It’s a perfect starting point!

#### Abigail
Abigail lives at Pierre’s General Store, which opens at 9 AM except Wednesdays. She spends her mornings in the kitchen behind the shop, then comes out to browse the shelves. In the afternoon, she stands on the bridge west of the shop before going home at 4:30 PM. Her bedroom becomes accessible around the time you grow closer.

#### Alex
Alex lives in a blue house by the river in the town’s center, with his dog outside. He usually leaves at 8 AM to stand by the tree outside his house, then spends his afternoons lifting weights in his room (accessible as you build closer relationships). He returns outside instead of inside around 6:30 PM and goes to bed at 8 PM.

#### Caroline
Caroline, wife of Pierre, lives with her family at the general store. Typically, she’s inside the shop in the mornings, but sometimes she’s among the shelves when not there. In the afternoons, she stands in the town square until around 4 PM, then stays home until 9 PM.

#### Clint
Clint is the town’s blacksmith, located at the Blacksmith’s Shop on the east side of town. He’s there until 4 PM, after which he heads to the Stardrop Saloon at 7 PM. He returns home around midnight.

#### Emily
Emily lives in the tan house on the southwestern street with her sister Haley. She stays in her bedroom until noon, then spends her afternoon in the living room, working behind the bar at the Stardrop Saloon from 3:30 PM until midnight. You can talk to her there during her shift.

#### Evelyn
Evelyn, Alex’s grandmother, lives with her husband George in the same blue house as him. She’s home until 1 PM, then waters the town’s plants until about 4:30 PM. She spends her evenings in the living room and goes to bed at 9 PM.

#### George
George is an elderly man in a wheelchair living in the same blue house. Early in the game, you’ll find him inside, either in the kitchen or watching TV.

#### Gus
Gus owns the Stardrop Saloon, located in the middle of Pelican Town. He’s there most of the day, behind the bar from around noon until midnight, with his living area at the back in the mornings and behind the bar later in the day.

#### Haley
Haley lives in the tan house with her sister Emily. She’s at home until about 11 AM, then heads to Cindersap Forest near the ranch until 4:30 PM. She spends her evenings at home, often hanging out by the town fountain or the Community Center.

#### Harvey
Harvey is the town’s doctor, working at the clinic near your farm. He’s there until noon, then stands outside his office until 5:30 PM. He heads upstairs to his private quarters at 6:30 PM.

#### Jodi
Jodi lives in the southwest corner of town with her children, Sam and Vincent. She’s indoors until 1:30 PM, then chats with Caroline in the town square before heading home.

#### Lewis
Lewis is the mayor, living near the river in the south part of town. He’s at his house early in the day, then at the fish shop on the beach from 10 AM to 4 PM. He’s home by 4 PM and stays until bedtime at 10 PM.

#### Pam
Pam lives in a trailer by the river with her daughter Penny. She’s at home until noon, then visits JojaMart until about 4 PM, after which she spends her evenings at the Stardrop Saloon until midnight.

#### Penny
Penny, the town teacher, lives with her mother Pam in the trailer. On Day 1, she leaves around 8 AM to read at the graveyard until 12:30 PM, then spends her afternoons at the Saloon or the museum with her children. She’s home and resting after around 6:30 PM.

#### Pierre
Pierre manages the general store and lives upstairs with Caroline and Abigail. He’s there from opening at 9 AM until 5 PM, then stays in the living area until 9 PM.

#### Sam
Sam lives with his mother Jodi and brother Vincent in the blue house on the southwestern street. He leaves at 11 AM to work at JojaMart until 4 PM. He returns home by 6 PM and stays in his room for the night, sometimes practicing skateboard tricks outside.

#### Vincent
Vincent is in school until 2 PM, after which he plays in the town square or walks home. He often walks with his friends Vas and Penny.

### Cindersap Forest

South of your farm, this area is mostly woods but also home to four residents of Pelican Town.

#### Jas
Jas is a schoolchild living at Marnie’s ranch with her aunt and godfather Shane. She stays in her room until 11 AM, then stands under a tree near the ranch until 3 PM. She spends her evenings at the ranch and goes to bed at 9 PM.

#### Leah
Leah is an artist living on a cabin in the woods just south of the path to Pelican Town. She spends most of her mornings sculpting at her cabin, then either visits Pierre’s until 5 PM or stays outside near her house until the evening. You cannot enter her house until you meet her outside, as she’s mostly outside.

#### Marnie
Marnie manages the ranch where you buy livestock. She’s home until about 8 AM, then visits Pierre’s. She returns home around noon and stays until 9 PM, often behind the ranch counter.

### The Beach

On the coastline, two residents call the beach home.

#### Elliott
Elliott is a writer living in a cabin on the beach. His door is locked before noon; after that, he stays outside until about 6 PM, walking between his house and the bridge leading from Pelican Town. You need to catch him during these windows.

#### Willy
Willy is the fisherman who runs the fish shop at the docks. He’s there from 6 AM, with the shop opening at 9 AM, and stays until 5 PM. In the evenings, he fishes on the beach until 10 PM.

### Mountains

Northwest of the town, the Mountains are where you’ll mine for resources, and five residents live here.

#### Demetrius
A scientist living at the carpenter’s shop with his family, Demetrius is mostly inside during the day, walking outside around 2:30 PM. He’s in his lab or kitchen most of the time.

#### Linus
Living in a tent in the mountains, Linus spends his days outside by the campfire or the lake from 7 AM to 7 PM. He goes to bed at 11 PM in his tent.

#### Maru
Maru, an aspiring scientist, lives with her family at the carpenter’s shop. She’s at home until around 1:30 PM, then outside on the bench in the town until evening. She’s in her room overnight.

#### Sebastian
Sebastian, a programmer, lives in the basement of the carpenter’s shop. He’s mostly in his room but comes upstairs around 3 PM to get coffee. He often smokes by the lake in the evenings from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

#### The Wizard
Located in his tower in Cindersap Forest, the wizard is part of the game’s story and doesn’t need to be met for the introductions quest, but you’ll encounter him during your town visits.
