There are many tricks you’ll find in the open world of Skate, each with different levels of difficulty. Some are very easy to do, while others require you to learn new skills before you can pull them off.
One of the first tricks that might be tricky for some players is the GOOOOOOAL stunt. This challenge actually needs you to perform a skill without your skateboard, not on it. You must learn how to control your fall safely, which is a useful skill to have.
Where to Find the Stunt
This stunt takes place in the southwest corner of the first area called Hedgemont. You’ll see a marker on your map to start the mission. Once you activate it, you’ll be teleported onto the rooftop you need to be on for the challenge.
How to Complete the Slam Distance Goal
There are three parts to this stunt, and you need to finish all of them in one try.
– Reach the top of the Skateshop Roof.
– Achieve a Slam Distance of 25 meters.
– Finish your Slam in the dumpster.
Getting to the top and ending in the dumpster are pretty simple, mainly controlling where you land and where you end up. The tricky part is hitting the right Slam Distance during the fall.
In-Air Controls
To land correctly and bounce as needed, you must be able to control your body while in the air and land exactly where you want.
Here are some handy controls:
– Spread Eagle: R1 + X or Rb + A
– Dive: R1 + O or Rb + B
– Controlled Fall: R1 or Rb
How to Gain the Slam Distance
The Slam Distance only counts when you’re in a Spread Eagle or similar pose, specifically after your first bounce. You need to hit the roof of the Skateshop, bounce off it, and then immediately go into Spread Eagle to maximize your distance.
The distance can carry over between attempts, but it’s not clear if this is intentional or a bug. If it’s not supposed to happen, you can still slam off the roof and spread eagle into the dumpster to get the full distance.
Two parts of this trick are more challenging than others.
First, you need to hit the roof in a way that gives you good control once you leave. The roof is curved, so it’s best to hit it while moving as fast as possible and at an angle that pushes you off the curve, instead of smashing into it and losing momentum.
Next, you have to either clear the railing between you and the dumpster or bounce off it instead of getting stopped. The sooner you get into Spread Eagle after leaving the roof, the better. If you do hit the railing, re-enter Spread Eagle immediately to still add most of the distance.
