The Flying Fortress Orbian needs to be destroyed near the end of Crimson Desert. It’s a massive structure you approach riding a dragon. Follow the instructions to take out the outer defenses and weapons using the dragon’s firepower. Once these are disabled, you’ll land inside the fortress — which, as usual in Crimson Desert, involves solving puzzles and fighting a boss.
The process isn’t very simple, so this guide will guide you step-by-step on how to get inside and take down the boss inside the fortress. Spoilers for the final parts of the game are included.
How to Enter the Flying Fortress Orbian
Here’s a quick rundown of how to progress through the fortress:
Inside, you’ll find a small central console. Pierce it with your sword and spin it around — this will reveal an empty passage to the next level.
Climb the metal grate inside the fortress, defeat the three enemies upstairs, then use either Force Palm jump or climb up to the roof.
On the roof, destroy the green glass bulbs scattered around — there are five or six marked on your map. Pierce each one to destroy them.
Afterwards, destroy the central console on top of the fortress and drop to the platform that opens on the side.
Inside, you’ll see a door that can be interacted with using Force Palm. However, the door will spin around instantly. A method I found effective was to use Axiom Force and Energy Surge to open it. As the door spins, quickly mantle onto its edge. This may not be the official method, but it worked for me. Doing this will push you into the room.
Inside the room, you’ll encounter the boss fight — a spinning disc of light. To weaken it, you need to use Force Palm and Energy Surge to stun the boss, making it vulnerable to damage. Once stunned, you can shoot arrows to end the fight quickly.
Note: If you don’t have arrows, this fight is nearly impossible. You’ll need to leave and come back with arrows, which means repeating the puzzle and entry process.
