Crimson Desert is a large RPG where you take on the role of Kliff, a mercenary trying to rebuild his clan after a tough defeat. In this game, you’ll complete quests, fight tough bosses, solve puzzles, and explore the world for hidden treasures.
Not all items are easy to find. Some of the most unique weapons and armor are hidden in spots that can be easily missed. One such item is the Eastern Witch’s Fan—an unusual weapon that creates big gusts of wind and tornadoes to attack enemies. If you’re tired of using typical weapons like spears, swords, and axes, here’s how to find and use the Eastern Witch’s Fan.
### Eastern Witch’s Fan Location
To get the Eastern Witch’s Fan, you first need to unlock the Focused Force Palm ability. If you haven’t learned it yet, travel northeast of Kharonso. Along the rocks there, you’ll find a small cluster of minerals and a memory you can observe, which teaches you how to acquire the Focused Force Palm.
Once you have this move, head east from Hernand into the southern part of Demeniss. Look for a chain of large cliffs called Serpent Marsh, which is formed by a series of islands. Make sure you have at least four points in stamina to be able to fly from one rock to another and reach these cliffs.
When you arrive in Serpent Marsh, go southeast to the marked area shown in the map above. You’re looking for a waterfall decorated with colorful ribbons and flags. At the top, look down to the left where a small ledge is blocked by minerals, hiding a cave entrance.
Fly down to this ledge and perform a Focused Force Palm on the wall—press both the L3 + R3 buttons simultaneously, then press R3 again. This action temporarily gives you x-ray vision, allowing you to see the glowing core on the other side of the mineral barrier. Striking this core destroys the wall, revealing the inside of the cave.
### Inside the Cave
Follow the path inside until you reach the chest at the end. Opening it will reward you with the Eastern Witch’s Fan—an exclusive secondary weapon. This weapon doesn’t deal a lot of damage by itself, but it can unleash powerful tornadoes when used.
To activate the tornado, press the Right Bumper and Right Trigger together. This will send a massive whirlwind in front of you, picking up enemies and tossing them into the air, making quick work of groups.
You can also stagger enemies by using the heavy attack (Right Trigger alone), or spam the fan attack by pressing Right Bumper + B (Xbox) or Right Bumper + Circle (PlayStation). Additionally, the fan can be used outside combat to change the weather. Open your equipment menu with right on the D-Pad, select the fan, and then press both Left and Right Triggers at the same time. This triggers a small animation that clears the gloom and can switch stormy or foggy weather to clear and sunny, although it may not work in every weather condition.
While the Eastern Witch’s Fan isn’t your main weapon for fights, it’s handy when fighting enemies on cliffs or high ground, as it can knock foes off ledges for quick kills.
