As you settle into life in the village of Bywater in Tales of the Shire, you’ll meet various hobbits with distinct personalities and preferences. Each friend offers rewards for completing their personal quests. Little Daisy Took is one such hobbit, but her quests involve solving a series of tricky riddles.
We’ll explain each riddle and how to solve them so you can earn rewards and help Daisy learn to read. No matter how much you enjoy riddles, completing these will make you quite the clever adventurer!
Nora’s Riddle: The Eye of the Lake Solution
The first of Nora’s riddles talks about the eye of a lake and a tree. Check your map and head to Cotton’s farm. Just south of the farm, you’ll see a small pond that looks like an eye, with a tiny island in the middle. Go there and examine the base of the tree stump to call Daisy. You’ll discuss the riddle and its solution together, completing the quest.
Nora’s Riddle: The Water That Roars Solution
The second riddle is also challenging. You need to find a place where water roars within the forest. There are several waterfalls in the area, making it tricky to choose. Open your map and look on the southeastern edge of the forest, just below Delphi’s house. There, you’ll find a gate blocking your path east and discover the source of the waterfalls. Investigate this spot to solve the second riddle and move on to the last puzzle with Daisy.
Nora’s Riddle: The Traveller Solution
The final riddle asks you to find a traveler that has no feet or wheels. It also mentions that this traveler is buried in the sand. Travel to Old Noakes’ place and follow the shoreline until you spot his overturned boat. Examine the boat and speak with Daisy about it. She’ll explain that the boat itself is the wandering traveler— it has no feet or wheels, but it helps people move around. With this, you’ll complete Daisy’s riddles and can proceed with other tasks in the village.
