How to Complete Ice Skating in Heartopia and Solve Its Mysteries

Winter has arrived in Heartopia, bringing plenty of icy surprises for you and your friends. During the Winter Frost season, you can earn free winter-themed items, participate in chilly activities, and help unlock the new ice rink.

To go ice skating soon, just log in daily and complete the Winter Prep Quests. Eventually, the ice rink will be finished, and you and your friends will be able to skate there. See below for more about unlocking and enjoying ice skating in Heartopia.

How to Unlock Ice Skating in Heartopia

From January 24 to March 14, 2026, Heartopia celebrates the Winter Frost Season. The first week focuses on Winter Prep, where you’ll talk to local NPCs to discover why the town is suddenly so cold.

A Frostspore infection is spreading across Heartopia, affecting local animals. Fish and insects are developing a frosty appearance due to this infection. Part of your Winter Prep involves exploring the coastal areas and asking residents about the infection.

Next, you’ll visit coastal residents, collect stamps in your stamp book, and gain approval to work on the ice rink. Visiting with other players can also earn you stamps and help you make friends in Heartopia. Near Onsen Mountain’s coast, an ice rink is under construction. Helping to build the rink involves patience, as it will open during the Winter Frost Season — but no exact date has been set yet.

To participate in these icy quests, you need to be at least Level 7 in the DG Guild.

Begin by completing the main story quest, The Answer Lies Within. Once finished, you can start working on the Winter Prep quests, which are listed on a dedicated tab in your device.

As you progress, you’ll unlock rewards such as the Night-Fishing Moka Pot and Penguin Pet Sofa items. More rewards are expected throughout the season.

Until the ice rink is completed, you can visit it occasionally to see the progress. Remember to complete your quests and log in every day to take full advantage of all the fun activities the Winter Frost Season offers.
